I think it was a decent finale that sets up next season nicely. Jimmy is becoming Saul. First of all, Chuck is a douchebag. The way he treated the young kid bringing him his daily supplies was reprehensible. I worked at a major law firm in NYC and have been dealing with them for the last 25 years and they are filled with entitled and self-important pricks like Chuck. I liked how Hamlin finally got a true appreciation of who Jimmy is. Not sure Howard is super benevolent, but he gets is. Loved the Chicago Sunroof rant but I think the grifter routine when on a bit too long. I'm not sure he's ever going to bang Kim. Oh, by the way--I went through my change jar and I actually have THREE half dollars with Kennedy facing west. If anyone wants to but them for $500 each straight up cash, PM me quickly because I'm putting them on ebay this afternoon for $1000 a piece. _
I'll take all four of those coins off your hands. And, I'll give you a lot more than $500 apiece. PM me. Would be cool if Howard gets busted for something next season - maybe soliciting a hooker or something - and reaches out to "Saul" to quietly make the whole thing go away...for a price. Key phrase in the season finale was Jimmy's fat buddy saying..."If you have a law degree and you're not filthy rich, you're not doing it right." (Paraphrased, but you get the point.) Jimmy knows how to make money - honesty be damned - so that's how he became "Saul Goodman". Agree with Stokes...Chuck is a douche, and there are so many self-important lawyers in real life just like him. Right down to the hypochondriac "I'm special, I'm sick, look at me" imaginary disease. I bet he dies early next season, hopefully violently. Kim is either all over Saul's pole next season, or she's a dyke. My only question with Jimmy is - Why stay in Albuquerque? Why not go back to Chicago, or somewhere else, and be Saul?
So it was a death that served as the catalyst propelling Jimmy to Saul. I'm wondering if Jimmy was going to ask his boy to come work with him in NM but didn't get the chance.
I was thinking today, once the Saul series is complete, it will be interesting to go back and watch Breaking Bad to see the character interaction.
Yeah, I want to wait for BCS to be finished so I know "everything" that happened beforehand. I'm not sure it will change much, but Saul could end up being even funnier.
