Considering the historically high percentage of busts amoung top QB picks and the garunteed money they will surely demand, I can't see any way a QB at 2 or 4 is considered a value. It's more like betting the next five years on one hand of blackjack. The value picks would be Croyle or Whitehurst where you risk a midround pick for a possible starter.
For those who voted Olsen at 97 over Olsen at 103, what the hell is wrong with you. Getting the same guy 6 picks later will always be a better value. In fact, I don't even know why it was given as a choice.
I agree, if we're talking about value picks, a 6th or a 7th on Vick is hard to beat. If we're strictly talking non-felons, my pick is Ingle Martin in the 4th.
Sorry bud. Omar Jacobs is worthy of a second round pick...at worst third round. It would be amzaing if he fell that far.
Brodie Croyle will probably go high to mid second, but hes way more likely to go late first than early third. If we picked him up at 29 or 35, Id be happy with that. If we got him at the top of the third, Id be ecstatic.
Stay put at #4 and hope we pick Cutler. Build around a franchice QB. We have plenty of picks tis year. Let the young guys play, gain experience and draft needs again next year. We'll be going in the correct direction.
Yeah I caught that! Don't worry you may be able to make a Superbowl, you might have to finish above the Bills in your division to do that. I really like your avatar! Sums up the Jets perfectly, the poor green brother of the big one that wears blue and is relevant. Anyway enough childishness from you Marcus Vick!!!
I picked Luigi mainly because he wears green, but ok. "Don't worry you may be able to make a Superbowl, you might have to finish above the Bills in your division to do that." You mean when we won the single most important Superbowl in NFL history?
He has ALL the tools, just an injury ridden past and he didn't play on a very good team. He still showed great poise, pocket presence, and an outstanding arm. If he had been healthy his entire career, he would be a 1st round pick if you ask me... He played very, very well on a very mediocre Bama team... Picking Croyle in the 3rd round, and saving the early picks for other spots would be a dream come true... I really think if he can stay healthy he will be a franchise-type QB..
im not a big fan of rcroyle if he couldnt stay healthy on the college level whats makes you think he will on the nfl level? sounds like another rob johnson to me big arm brittle bones.
also now that i think about why hell would a want qb with medical concerns.. we already have that in chad
I understand that he is a risk because of his history, but I'm willing to put a 2nd or 3rd rounder on the line and take the chance, hoping he stays healthy. If he does, he has as bright a future as anyone else we could take in this draft and for a much better value than most..
