I'm happy my boys proved me wrong. We look like a solid team.

    Man these boys can roll!!

We left a lot of meat on the bone, we could of scored at least another 10 points.

And arguably our best player Sheldon Richardson will be back soon.

best team since 2010 doesnt say much, as weve been awful since then

stacked across the board is overboard, we are certainly not stacked at QB, oline, linebacker, edge rusher

we certainly look good. we can run and our defense is stout. id feel alot better if our special teams wasnt subpar. i trust fitz not to be geno/sanchez type bad, which might be all we need to make the playoffs.

my concerns are that our offense will cost us vs. strong defensive teams. we struggled vs a bad colts defense that lost its best player to injury.

but the playoffs seem like a very real possibility

C'mon my friend. Drink the Kool Aid. You know that you WANT to! LOL We got us a HC my friend. 10 TOs in 2 games. The best ever for this team! That's no fluke.

I saw a smart, tough, solid team out there tonight. There were some things I wasn't crazy about in the 2nd half (Giacomini's stupid personal foul negating a big run by Ivory, allowing the Colts two successive long drives, the offense getting too conservative with just a 10 point lead on the road), but overall, they again came through in the clutch, made the adjustments they needed to and won. We knew the D would be good, but no one knew we'd be creating TOs like this. The offense is being smart and productive. Marshall is a HUGE addition. Don't miss out on the fun being too cautious and circumspect.

I get why some people don't want to get crazy but do not sell this win short. The Colts are far from a bad football team. They will win 9 games and take that division. Maybe they are not the 12-4 1 or 2 seed that some people had them pegged to be but they are not a bad football team. We made them look bad. This is a very good road win against a top 12-15 team.

Why can't people just ignore the actual details of the game and enjoy the short term payoff?

Face it, the QB has an arm almost as disappointing as the leg of the punter.

Never mind that the QB embrace a game manager role, and that the punter is integral for a team that has a great defense and little else.

Those two players hurt this type of team. Geno would make it worse, but it doesn't make me feel any better.

I think it's Karma. Great teams attract good things. They create them too. One of the commentators following the game said the Jets' D was beating on the Colts' offense. That causes mistakes. You start getting tired and sore, start losing confidence, worrying about getting stuffed, maybe start pressing and trying to do too much, and before you know it, you've dropped the ball or forced a bad pass. Have we been "lucky"? Undoubtably. Will it continue? No, probably not, but we can enjoy it while it lasts. How long has it been since we've enjoyed getting TOs like this? How long has it been since we've had a team so well coached and had an offense that was competent? One of our best defensive players still hasn't played a down yet.

Are we a finished product? No, nowhere close, but we're sure a heck of a lot closer now than we've been in years. Aside from the OL, this team is better and deeper than any Jets team in a long time, and even the OL has been playing much better than expected. I think too often schemes that fit the player's talents versus schemes that force players to try to fit into them, are underrated. I think we have the best CS we've had in a long time. It's hard for me not to get excited after the misery of Rex Ryan's clown show that last 5 seasons.

Before the season started, I said that I expected 8-8 or 9-7, but if everything fell perfectly they could perhaps win as many as 11. I still think they have an excellent shot at the playoffs. Things could come crashing back to earth next, week, but I plan on enjoying this while it lasts. It's been a long time since I've felt this good about the Jets and so hopeful about the future.

Agree - we desperately need a better punter.

I will say this, though. We have very, very good WRs - something not usually found on this kind of team.

best team since the last good team we had? what an incredible insight!!! really sticking your neck out on a limb asserting this team is better than the team that choked in 2011, sucked in 2012, was average in 2013 and a disaster in 2014.

I said we have a better roster than a team that went 11-5, beat the Pats in Foxboro, and very nearly went to the SB. Yes the teams in between were not great but there were two 8-8 squads sprinkled in there

Couple of things to watch out for early on in terms of assessing the team's overall strength:

    1. The turnovers aren't going to continue at this rate.

The Jets have 10 gotten 10 turnovers out of the opponent and only coughed the ball up twice themselves. History tells us that if the ratio is 2-1 in favor at the end of the year the Jets will be extremely fortunate, particularly given that the Jets do not have a QB known for very few turnovers like Rodgers or Brady.

    2. The opponents are taking a huge number of penalties early on.

Again this is going to even out more as the season progresses. The Jets not committing many penalties is something they can control and seems to be a strength of a Todd Bowles coached team. The opponents getting a ton of flags isn't going to continue forever.

The good news is the Jets aren't winning tight games based on the turnovers and penalties at this point. They're having 1 score games turned into more by them so there's no reason to think the Jets will collapse when the worm turns, as it will at some point.

This may turn out to be one of the legendary defenses like the 85 bears. That's the only defense I've ever seen cause these kinds of turnovers. It's a little early yet, but this defense is scary - you hook up the best secondary in the league with one of the best dlines and the league and that is one scary good combination. Their goal line stand ending with the fumble was very impressive. They held the Colts to seven points and Cro who gave up the touchdown shouldn't even have been out there. So far the Jets have given up 2 touchdowns and Cro gave up both of them.

We had a better team in 2011, we just took a big shit down the stretch and missed the playoffs because of it.

I want to see more before I'm at the point you are, but I'm happy with how things have gone so far.
