Agreed. I've said it numerous times already, but it's AMAZING that they haven't been able to find anyone better than Hunter. Anyone at all. I know it's the Jets, but they can't be this stupid.
Is it possible...that agents know how desperate the Jets are and are asking crazy prices. That's what you call capitalism at work.
I don't remember what show I was listening to at the time, it may have been the game Friday night, but an interesting point was made on Tebow coming to the Jets. The guy, a former head coach, said that Tebow coming to the Jets was bad news for Sanchez regardless of how well he plays. The reason given? The coach asked name one top 15 QB in the league you'd pull on certain plays just to put Tebow on the field for a certain number of plays. And I thought about this for awhile and I realized that there wasn't one top 15, or even top 20, QB in the league I'd do that with. That said, I can't lay today on the QB fully, I mean what 7 or 8 sacks given up by the O-line today? Pathetic.
As in chess game. In order to win, you need to play consistently good moves from the start to finish. To lose? It does depend on the situation, but at times one stupid move does seal the deal. (Especially if that stupidity involves king safety. Just like WFH compromising QB safety.)
You'd have to measure that play with a calendar as Gholston would stare at Hunter who would then back up and stare at Gholston. At least 10 days would pass before either of them approached the LOS.
