u stick with him because Petty isn't ready, and Geno is much worse (and soon gone). i do also blame Bowles though, as this team needs to win on D the way it's constructed.......and the D sux despite good talent.
Geno isnt worse, repeating it doesnt make it true. Fitzpatrick had the worst game ever by a quarterback.....not based on my opinion either, the stat guys. But i digress, you have to make a move, clearly Fitzpatrick cant get it done. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
good post. i agree if we drop to 1-5, might as well go with Petty at that point as season would be over and schedule would be lightening up.
what Geno are you remembering? if Geno wasn't benched in some of those 2014 games, i could assure you it would be the worst performances ever. He freaking started a game with 3 straight passes for INTs once. It literally doesn't get worse than that. If he played all game, it wouldve been like 20 picks. If you do make a move, the only move is for Petty.
And how many points? Hey you can have 500 yrds but if you only score 3 points, whats that matter? 2 punts and a field goal over 4 drives isn't getting it done Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Fitz got it done perfectly against the Bills but they ran the ball more. They fixed something on the offense wasn't broken. Now they expect Fitz to be a gun slinger and throw 40 times? It's probably the only adjustment they've made and the absolutely worst one I can think of.
No Geno was never that bad, you're definitely not remembering that correctly. The stats back that up unequivolcably https://www.profootballfocus.com/pr...ed-the-lowest-pff-grade-weve-ever-given-a-qb/ And Geno was on a much worse team. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
what was Geno's QB rating after throwing 3 passes for 3 straight int's to start a game? that has to be worse, he just got benched before he could compile any more damage. it was literallly the worst effort i've ever seen from a qb. i remember it very correctly. u seem to have forgotten.
The same thing happened last season. Robbie and even Devin Smith last season, create separation. The "beard" can't throw a deep ball for his, though.
What do we have to lose for the people that still wanna stick with Fitz? We either play better with Geno or we can move on to Petty and atleast evaluate him going forward If you think Fitz is good enough to get this season back on track please tell me why
Dude you lost this argument, its not just me, the numbers prove it. You can have whatever grudge you want but im not gonna argue back in forth with you on whether water is wet. Its a fact now, get over it. Go back to queens. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Well its obvious why no team wanted him but the jets, and why only jets fans thinks hes worth it. We give has beens and never weres all the patience in the world but forsake a 4th year qb on a terrible roster because he didnt do enough. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
I've changed my tune. Start Geno. This team needs a wake up call and the only way to do that is to hold people accountable. Given Fitz' performance, QB is as good a place as any to make the change. Though I wouldnt have any problem benching Marshall, Revis, Harris, the lot of them. As much of a fan as I was of Fitz last year, he is not the answer. He has been too careless with the ball, and when they are behind he cant play within himself and lean on his veterans to put them back in the game. On that Sherman INT that was the turning point in the game, WHY would you go back to the back shoulder throw for the THIRD time against an all pro like Sherman? He got a TD and a long gain out of it. Why tempt fate? STUPID. He is too locked into Marshall, and when you need him to throw a deep one he is inaccurate. If he connected with Anderson late it could have been interesting, but he overthrew the ball. This season is a rebuild. The veterans that the Jets decided to invest in have proven they have no heart and no discipline. Even if the Jets go on a run here, it will be fools gold. They dont have what it takes. I'd rather they hand it over to Petty, but since he has been injured and deactivated, lets see if Geno can revive his career a bit.
and saying he isn't worse does not make that true either. Geno is not an improvement on Fitz. You go to Petty if he is healthy , and again as in the other thread don't say Petty did not out play Geno because he did. Geno Smith sucks plain and simple he is not going to be here next yr so why are you wasting time trying to develop him and take away snaps from two other young qbs that will be here Passing Player Att Comp Yds Comp % Yds/Att TD TD% INT INT% Long Sck Sack/Lost Rating Bryce Petty 56 32 481 57.1 8.6 3 5.4 1 1.8 50 6 24 95.9 Ryan Fitzpatrick 29 16 183 55.2 6.3 1 3.4 0 -- 43 2 22 85.8 Christian Hackenberg 47 17 159 36.2 3.4 1 2.1 2 4.3 27 1 6 35.7 Geno Smith 32 17 140 53.1 4.4 1 3.1 1 3.1 18 0 0 62
