This is true. He definitely isn't playing physical as a corner anymore. But he does wrap the ankles to bring down the receiver. I also give Revis the benefit that he is playing a ton of man still on an island. Rarely does Revis have help. Play cover 2 with Revis or try him out at FS. No more island.

Rhodes may have not been a big hitter but he played the run well and had a nack for blitzing the QB and helping at the line of scrimmage.

He never made a difference when defending the pass or when he was helping the CBs.

That's what I was trying to get at with the comparison.

I never would've thought I'd see Darrelle Revis stop giving a shit. I mean I know he has always been a greedy ass but even throughout that he played his position/approached his job with pride and wanted to do well on sundays.

He is just floating out there. He is doing the bare minimum now, collecting his paycheck and trying to just not get beat deep. It is tough to watch. The one play they threw it to Pryor and Revis' tackle attempt was so weak

Hard to watch this asshole not give a shit out there. Can't wait til he's cut, don't care if he goes right back to NE either.

He's got his money, I would bet he retires after the season, he knows his 16 mil per year paydays are over, he has a ring, and he's going to Canton, he's not going to work for peanuts so why risk getting his brain scrambled for a team that is terrible and not going to the post-season? Not saying it's right, but I'm guessing that's where his head is at.

Bowles has to do something though, Revis covering the top receiver 1:1 is a disaster, we need to double guys like Pryor or Green, Revis can't or won't do it alone. Having these receivers catch 120 yards in a half is ridiculous.

I don't think Bowles is going to do anything, he is playing the players that were given to him by Woody and Mac.

My gripe with Bowles is his DC, he refuses to fire that bum, I bet if you gave the front 7 the jets have to a DC like Wade Phillips, it would be a very productive group.

Even TB who was supposed to be a genius of a DC, can't figure out what to do with this group.

It really bothers me that the Jets have been swindled by Revis and Sixpatrick.

When are they going to start running this team with some pride and draw the line with washed up or scrub players?

when he was coming into his prime and smoking the the best WRs in the NFL, and breaking coverage to put licks on RBs who would've thought that 6 years later he'd be getting smoked by a guy that played QB in college, and arm "tackling" people?

The truth is if he presses Terrelle Pryor we lose to the Browns. Revis knows where he's at physically right now. I'm not yet on board with benching the leader of our defense because he's not 100. Bottom line Revis rested on his laurels this past off-season, and father time stole his island.

If Revis is the leader of the defense that's a huge part of the problem. He needs to ride the pine.

Someone who gives a shit should lead.

He's done this every game this season. The effort hasn't been there all season. Awful example / leadership for the other CBs.

I remember a knack for sacking the QB and then jumping around and celebrating his gayness while a live ball was rolling around near his feet.

This is why I question moving him to FS. That spot is more physical than he's shown he a.) wants, or b.) can handle. Let Gilchrist play there, at least he's familiar with the spot.

Who do you want as the leader of our defense? Who's the best defender for the Jets at any level? Leonard Williams? Is Leo ready to lead?

With all the articles coming out as of late about Revis's age, I wonder if he will retire after this season? I hope he does. We need a new leader for sure and I don't know who that guy is right now
