Updated report on surgery from WTAE-TV - "severe injuries to his knees" doesn't sound so good from a football standpoint.
Holy shit... who the hell is their backup? Well good to hear Big Ben is ok... I hope he enjoys the rest of his life with his millions of dollars.
 ....... 1 & Done? Only 2 years in the Nfl? Even if he doesn't play again he still has more rings than Dan Marino
This might be another Greg Cook thing if Roethlisberger damaged his knees and can't play again or can't play effectively again. Cook had a great rookie season (perhaps the greatest rookie season ever by a QB) and wrecked his knee I guess in a preseason game the next year. He barely played after that. I really like my Browns playoff pick now.
I hope he recovers. Pennsylvania decided to make helmets optional. You wear a helmet during a football game and you don't want to wear one while you're riding.
I honestly wouldnt be suprised if because of this, they change that law. And its kinda sad that it had to happen to him before the state realized, but it wouldnt shock me if they make a law
...somewhere on a couch, Vinny T see's the signal in the sky and brushes the cheeze doodles off his chest and suits up....
not for nothing but when are these freaking athletes gonna learn? There needs to be some kind of clause in the contract that forbids this kind of activity.. It is not fair for the fans..
That's what I was thinking. I feel terrible for Ben. Who cares who was at fault. That's such a shitty freak accident...hope it happens to no-one else. Kerry Collins will start all 16 games, you watch.
Batch is still on the team according to Newsday "Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch was at the emergency room. He had no comment."
