Ok so he is in the Super Bowl, congrats Ben, I ate my words. More on Ben Graham from 2007. Punting Avg: 43.3 16th. Net Avg: 39.3 17th. Inside 20: 17th. 2006: Punting Avg: 44.2 13th Net Avg: 41.3 5th Inside 20: 26, 11th Ok Ben Graham is average. Why does he just standout in my mind as being awful? For those of you even more interested(http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=9291).
Yeah he was questionable with a thigh injury for this game so didn't too bad really. Good luck to him.
I may be wrong but wasn't Darren Bennett with the Chargers when they got destroyed in the SB? It was 1995 so I think he was on the roster.... although I know he was an Aussie I guess it doesn't mean he played Aussie Rules. Now the serious question, bigger event for Australia, the Finals of the Open with no locals expected to contend or an Aussie playing in the SB. Oh yeah and if you happen to follow golf Geoff Ogilvy won me some cash last week, more reasons for me to love the land down under.
Bennett did play Aussie Rules. Bigger event is easily the Open. By a long, long way. Graham is a nice story, but in general most don't care.
They won in spite of him yesterday, he was horrible...although he did knock the last punt out at the 7
im happy for him, bloody awesome!!! he is a good punter and it sucks he is not still with us. he is going to the super bowl..all of you are probably going to the fridge to eat more shit and get fatter. lol
You know what bothers me even more than the fact that we put up over 50 points on a team that's now in the SB? The fact that that same team that is now in the Super Bowl couldn't bother to show up against NE in week 16 when we really needed their help! What was the final score in that game? 62-3 or something? For some reason, they lost site of the important games (like a meaningless late season game against a non-conference opponent) and played hard in the unimportant games (like the NFC championship).
I noticed Victor Hobson's nameplate in the Cardinals locker room during one player interview, so he is going as well.
from the Melbourne Age But it will be a long fortnight for Graham, 35, who appeared to aggravate a groin strain with successive kicks during the second and third quarters. The Super Bowl will be played in Tampa, Florida, on February 2. "I was hoping I didn't have to punt," Graham said. "But I got through okay and now I have two weeks to get it 100 per cent. I played with some pain today, but I've done that before."
I was asked to come up with a prop bet for the super bowl so I incorparated Benny into it. Ben Graham punts vs aces by the winner of the Australian Open Final on the mens side.
