I can't help but agree. Maybe in 5 years this could be debatable, but now its silly to ask at best. NE beat us in every major team defensive stat last year except forced fumbles, where we tied. So again, the second question, silly. As for the third question: Are we heading to a non standard 3-4? Could be. It also could be that the coaching staff is trying to play to the strengths of its current personal better for now. We'll know a lot more after a few games that matter. I have faith that Mangini is going to be a great coach. I love what I have seen from him so far, but you don't start comparing rookie's to people like Jerry Rice right away. Likewise you don't trying to compare a one year coach to a man who will go down as an all time great.
Bellicheat is good, but then again his team has everything, so you need to take that into consideration.. Mangina has regressed with essentially the same team (minus a OL)... Better coach, I dont think I can bring myself to say the Cheat is better than the Mang even if he ain't doing good
I don't care who is the better coach; it makes no difference at all when your team is 1-6 with the season over before the halfway point in the season.
