yeah...I wasn’t a big fan at the time...hard to pay huge dollars to a RB, when you can find RBs in the middle rounds that are younger and can get you 90% of the performance at a fraction of the cost. RB is the easiest transition to make from college to the NFL...not worth paying free agents
It was over the minute he left the Steelers, he just didn't know it then. We should have known better
Don't worry, nobody does. Have we seen a single mea culpa on Darnold yet when half the guys here were ransoming their children to get him?
I did too. I thought Rosen was undoubtedly the best prospect on the field that entire year and I watched all of them a lot. Rich boy couldn't handle the heat.
Bell didn’t play much last night, but looked great when in there! Making guys miss and TD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7 attempts for 25 yards, are we so jaded as fans that we are now applauding pedestrian statistics from former Jets players? I will be impressed when Laveon has 25 attempts for 120 yards and two TDs each game for the rest of the season. He was a terrible signing by Macagnan that’s the bottom line.
The question with Rosen was always how bad did he want it? If he really wanted it he would have made the social changes necessary to lead men in the NFL after largely ignoring the requirement at UCLA.
I am impartial on the signing, bad contract and all. Because Leveon had some talent. But also on the side that Gase made it a point not to use him because Mac signed him against his wishes. With different coach, we may be having different convo, as Bell might have turned out a pro bowler. Will never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It is never good to sit out a season like Bell did, Mosley is probably going to be just as bad as he will now have missed 2 seasons
I’ll tell ya what, and I know I’ll get killed for this, but crazy eyes was right about a few things: Macagnan Bell The need for O-linemen He’ll end up being right on Mosley in that he won’t workout he was wrong on plenty too, but maybe just maybe, he’s not a complete moron
Adam Gase is clearly not a moron. Not to make a facetious point but Albert Einstein would have been a truly terrible NFL head coach.
Gase wasn't right about much at all. He took a job partnering with Maccagnan, so no he was not initially right about him, and I'm not awarding points for undercutting your partner that you were wrong about after the fact. that's weasel-like. He never used Bell properly at all, or used him as a receiving threat on a team bereft of receiving threats. Continued using 11 personnel running Bell up the gut for some unknown stubborn reasons. He was happy with Mosley signing, claiming he was a transformational player, so I'm not sure where you are going with that. I bet if it weren't for complete lack of faith in Gase, that maybe Mosley wouldn't have opted out this season either. But everyone knew where this sinking ship was headed, with guys understandably looking for any way out possible. I'll give you the need on Oline, but every coach says this, as every team has that need. The common denominator to our problems is Gase. He's certainly no solution. Our team has gotten worse, and he has been the biggest problem of them all. So on a moron scale of 0-10, zero representing Curtis Martin with no moron qualities, and 10 being full on Manish, I'd say Gase is squarely a 10!
