I hear what you're saying, and agree with most of it, but I don't want him going to the Pats. If he can still play at a high level, I want it to be for the Chiefs, not the Bills, Dolphins or Patriots.
No, it isn't. You're too anxious to find fault with Douglas. Gase had ruined Bell's value by not playing him and misusing him. Even with the Jets willing to pay part of his contract, it would have cost other teams more both in terms of giving up draft capital or players and in terms of $s. Now they can sign him to a cheaper contract and don't have to give up anything. They figured that with Gase not using him, Bell wanting out, and the Jets worrying about Bell getting injured and getting stuck having to pay him next year too, that the Jets would have no recourse other than release him.
You guys wanting Bell to go to the Patriots, Bills or Dolphins should bite your tongues. Bell could hurt us next year when Gase is gone and we're trying to win. Let him sign with the Chiefs. He deserves to sign with them and it will make them even more the favorites to win the SB.

Adam Gase was never an offensive guru and had no idea how to use one of the greatest dual threat pass catching HB's of All-Time. Andy Reid is a real offensive genius who made sure to land Bell as a FA and Reid will utilize Bell with absolute greatness. I'm happy for Bell. Mahomes just keeps on getting more and more offensive weapons. Mahomes. Hill. Watkins. Kelce. Bell. With Andy Reid? Amazing!

More like bell wins a ring, establishes value again, then goes to a crappy team and gets paid again. I highly doubt bell comes back here even with gase gone. JD won't give him a ton of money and we aren't winning. there are a lot more teams that would pay and use him better
You can be sure that Bell will have more passes thrown his way in one game under a decent offensive scheme than he did in all of his games combined here under the awful yoke of Gase.
