I don't Sanders ever had a line as bad as this one. We had some of the best O-linemen at the beginning of the decade with D'Brick, Mangold, Fanaca, and Damian Woody. Since then, there has been no attempt to replace them with anybody of quality, either in free agency or the draft. We're reaping the whirlwind at this point. Also, Brady has never had a bad line. It's one of the things that Belichick ALWAYS keeps stocked with good players. Brady hates getting hit, and his production goes way down in games when he's getting rushed, even when he's running a short passing game. I think he'd be doing a lot better than Darnold at this point, and we'd probably have one or two more wins, but he'd still look quite average behind this line.
They should shut him down if he’s not 100%. We have other RB’s on the roster that can pick up 2 yards per carry so it won’t be a big loss. Fuck this OL.
Yes, he was playing hurt. For most of the week, it was doubtful he would play. Yes, the O-line is not the greatest. Yet his performance this year isn't what we've come to expect, and the reason is that there are people on the other side of the ball who collect a decent salary to strategize how to defend him. On the Jets offense he is the one player D coordinators are going to be the most concerned about so defenses will be deployed to stop him. If I was a D coordinator playing the Jets that's what I'd do: stop Bell and make Sam beat you. If you're the Jets, you have to figure out how to make defenses pay for concentrating on stopping Bell. So far that hasn't happened.
Funny I heard Tank Francesca have same take today on Bell He used the words running in molasses however not that Tank knows much but I laughed that we agree I repeat- I like Bell a lot I do but he looks like he has no burst I assume he’s dinged up
Nah I saw it too. Bell DID have pop here and there, but there were some plays it looked like he had room to run and make someone miss but was too indecisive and never got it going.
