Belichick would never trip a player that went out of bounds

Looks like Belichick is offering up his butt to Harrison...:eek:hmy:

  2. The Jets, in cooperation with the league, sanctioned the offending coach.

What happened with the Pats and Belichick again?

Yea, sure. It exposes the ridiculous media double standard is what it does, that's plain to see. Rex Ryan is being cast as a buffoon who has no control over his team, look at the Braylon Edwards dwi reaction, it's already happened to like 5 other players and none of those situations have gotten a fraction of the scrutiny that the Edwards case did. Meanwhile a HEAD COACH pulls relatively the same kind of stunt alosi did and none of the mediots have seen fit to bring it back to light, it's all about Rex and the frat house atmosphere.

The Alosi incident was poor sportsmanship. The Belichick incident was the same and then some. The only thing missing was one of those propeller hats on Belichick's head. Fuckin' geek.

Ummm...the video is from 04. Was this ever brought to the league's attention?

That's what you need to know before you cry about a double standard.

  6. So your defense is that it got buried? Seriously? It didn't get magnified, like anything the Jets do, and that makes it OK. Wow, that may be the most biased excuse I've ever heard.

And if you look at where Belichick is when he trips him, he runs out to the white area reserved for the chain crew.

There is a difference between something being buried and something never being brought to the league's attention. They have better things to do than scour every game tape to look for stuff like this. If the Colts didn't send them the tape then they probably didn't see it.

Not really to needle Jets fans. I just think the finger pointing is lame and I am commenting on it

Um, it was seen at the time. I know I was there with some loyal Colts fan friends of mine.
The video you linked is from 2004 and Felger himself clearly points it out. So it was seen at the time. If myself and my Colts fans friends saw it, you can be sure Dungy and Polian saw it, at least on replay or from the booth.

Polian is a member of the rules committee and has never been one to shy away from having a temper tantrum and flexing his muscles when it comes to the Pats. So apparently it was OK. < to the league > I, personally, didn't like it.

This ** newly uncovered evidence ** is old news to Pats and Colts fans. Most of us remember it. The sad part of this whole thing with Alosi is all the " yeah, but look at what the Patriots did.... Yeah, but the Patriots do it ". It's childish and beneath any professional organization. Man up.

The Jets organization needs to hush up and put this behind them and move on. They already got plenty of breaks in Tripgate. I know of no player, coach or team who has violated league rules/policy and Goodell, a former Jets employee, allowed the team to hand out the discipline. There is an article on PFT that says there is a league rule, that Goodell was putting emphasis on a couple of years back called Integrity of the game rule, they are suggesting that Westhoff violated this rule, and once again the Jets will suffer no penalty from the Commish. I've never heard of it, but apparently it exists.

Whether you guys see it or not, the Jets got a very sweet break on this little scandel.

    :rofl2:

    LMAO! I love Belichick.

The only people who are complaining about the Jets trip are moralfags, and they complain about everything.

Umm, trying to throw a body screen on someone who went out of bounds and sneakily sticking your knee out to trip a player that is running at FULL SPEED on the field of play are incredibly different... Its pretty sad that you can't see the difference.. The dolphin player btw almost got injured on that play, as he was down for awhile before getting up..

Also, Belichick throwing that screen on Harrison WAS brought up... SIX FRICKEN YEARS AGO... but its funny that people seem to feel the need to bring it up again and point to it to feel better about their coach intentionally trying to trip a player that is in the field of play and going at full speed...

Its called deflecting blame and it makes the Jets organization look extremely childish.

The Jets posted this video on youtube? Or are you talking about the Westhoff thing in general?

I am trying to figure out which is more funny to me. Jets fans that need to legitimize anything the Jets do by comparing it to the Pats or Pats fans that need to defend their team against everything those Jets fans talk about.

Belichick would never spend countless hours on the internet moralizing about how ethically superior his talent wise inferior team/ fan base was. However he definitely would spend a ton of time defending the team he roots for on the internet and extensively making his case/ mocking opposing fans anonymously on the internet.

Wasn't there a video where the Pats try to trip the Jets in Week 2? Saw it yesterday.
