It's not the best approach, but this is a 22-year-old and the whole world is berating him for being fat. It's terrible that we're that kind of world/fanbase, and we shouldn't be shocked if a 22-year-old doesn't respond with polished etiquette. With all that said, I loved the Baldy video. Becton is a monster. I hope he is working as hard as he is suggesting and that he plays as well as he should in 2022.
This is my biggest concern with him. Dude has rabbit ears. He needs to let this stuff go and ignore the noise.
Another Twitter Tantrum from Becton.. That's a fight that he can only win by staying on the field and playing. He's still a kid though so the Jets will have to live with that.
If he continues to do things that make me bearish on his prospects to help our team and live up to his draft spot I'll continue to comment on those things. That's what a forum is for.
Its good to see he's working out and looking pretty good. Whatever motivates him works for me if he's back playing like he did his rookie season. I think people forget just how good he was as a rookie. According to PFF (which is never wrong), I believe Becton's rookie year was better than Fant's great year last season. Lets give the kid chance. I'll never understand why people let internet losers get in their heads. But at the same time, he's a kid and its 2022, social media has changed how criticism works. I feel the same way about people here constantly complaining about his tweets. It just all comes across as babyish to me.
Can this kid just stay the fuck off Twitter for a minute? Let his play do the talking assuming he actually plays this year.
He needs to take a cue from Q (pun intended) who has been crucified here and yet keeps his mouth - and Twitter account - shut.
I like that he is pissed off and angry. I just hope all this motivates him to prove everyone wrong. He sounds pissed and frustrated. Hopefully, he is healthy enough to show us all on the field this year how angry he is. Edit: My advice to Mechi is read twitter and these forums every morning and before going to the gym for the next year.
I can see a player getting miffed by some analyst on television trashing them. But if you are upset about anonymous Joe Blows on twitter - it could be problematic.
Happens to star players too they just can’t stay off social media. Not that surprising tbh and he’s younger. So they stay on Twitter Snapchat IG all day. You would say something if you saw it across your timeline too. Some guys can’t handle certain things properly, he def needs to learn to lay low on social media if he’s gonna react like that tho
I If I was a GM, "my kind of guys" would be the ones that had little interest in social media. That would be a definite check box on the list.
LOL, You wouldn’t have a team or your team would be washed up veterans who are mature enough to not care about SM.
