None of us know the true story really….some say he was dogging rehab….some say the injury was worse than reported…some say the injury was simply misdiagnosed. All I know is a healthy Becton is a really good thing.
Did you watch him play last year? No, he's a half arsed blob that needs to toughen up, do you praise all the Jets players regardless?
What a ridiculous point. All I was saying is that when healthy he is more than capable of blocking large defenders and playing well. He's done it before. You made it sound like he was incapable of doing because he wasn't pushing more weight on the sled.
Always be weary of a nameless faceless message board poster making fat jokes about a celebrity. They are probably fat.
You would think his injury last season derailed our shot at the playoffs. Newsflash: it didn't. The injury wasn't his fault. Anyone would have gotten injured if that had happened to them. And let's say he came back "on schedule." Does it change our record at all? I don't understand the hate unless you hated the pick to begin with and you just use anything negative to rail against the guy.
Yeah, I'm the delusional one here. Reading your posts, are you a nasty shit everywhere in life? The anonymity of the internet and all I guess makes it easy to fight with everybody like a douche bag
you mean the whole 48 snaps you are basing this on instead of the 691 we seen in his rookie year that impressed everyone?
Whats your take on the injury? Was he misdiagnosed, was the injury worse than reported, or was he dogging rehab? I’ve heard all three …….
I always assumed none of the above. You can’t rehab while you’re on crutches. By the time it was time to get off crutches he’d put on more weight than ideal to start rehab to the extent we wanted him too… something about 350# + knee surgery = needing a careful rehab. Did we really want our giant of a OT to be putting undo stress on his knee?
I have no clue. i'm not a doctor and have no access to his medical records. all I can go by is what saleh has told us
I'm still a fan of Becton's and I really hope he comes into OTA's in shape and ready to rock n roll. That said, I have a question: IF Hutchinson, Thibodeaux, and Ekwonu are off the board, do we select Neal and attempt to trade Becton? With the Jaguars tagging Cam Robinson, Neal is no longer a lock to go 1. I'd love Ekwonu as he can easily move inside and become a nasty guard in year 1 before moving to tackle. Problem is, Neal cannot and I'm not sure I want to see Fant, Becton, and Neal fighting for two T spots.
