You should see Spurs boards... best start to the season in decades and everyone's absolutely miserable. Including me. People here are bummed out because the main reason for excitement and optimism was the rookies/2nd year guys and the bright future they represent. The 5-2 record is also nice but Breece being cut down like that.... just brutal. Feels like the rug got pulled out from under us. It'll pass... especially if MC and ZW step up. (Not hopeful about Zach but we'll see)
@Brook! fuck yeah man! 5-2 is 5-2. It doesn’t matter how you look getting there. It’s not a beauty contest. The Jets could be 7-0 and some people would find a way to complain. As a long time Jet fan I totally get that behavior though. Because this team brings you up to just smash your still beating heart against the ground.
You have different opinions than some of us here - that's fine. But did you really have fun watching that game yesterday? Did you not feel that the other shoe was going to drop at any moment? Was the lead, a handful of good plays and the win enough to make you disregard the things that the offense was not getting done?
It was a tense game, but we only trailed for a few minutes in the second quarter and shut them out in the second half. It felt like we were in control the whole second half. I much preferred it to the 26-0 drubbing in Denver last year, and the 23-0 drubbing in 2017, and the 27-0 drubbing in 2005. Historically, Denver has been a tough place for us to play and their defense is very good, so yes, I enjoyed it immensely.
I guess that's why we're here, different opinions but I doubt many were watching to compare yesterday to lousy days in the past. I think that many were hoping to see the highly touted QB perform up to his expectations. That did not even come close.
"Shirley, you must be kidding." There are guys here every week who say they know he's getting better and will be a star. There are guys here who changed their screen names to include his before he stepped foot on an NFL practice field.
“He’s getting better and will he a star” is a far cry from “he’s going to have his breakout game against the best D in the league”.
I didn't see a single Zach Wilson ballwasher include "but not in Denver" in their praise all week. It was just the normal everyday predictions of greatness and that dopey "FQB" talk.
The imaginary people/ voices in your head who led you to “think that many were hoping to see the highly touted QB perform up to his expectations.
You have almost no credibility to 90% of the board (the other 10% doesn’t know you yet). You should probably load up (add some reply’s) on some people saying ZW was going to have a big game so people don’t assume you’re just talking out your ass (as usual).
Right, because those who believe that Wilson is the savior of the NY Jets did not want to see him thrive in Denver; they weren't even hoping it would happen. I suppose they all were waiting to see how this game compared to the one in 2005. But of course, I notice you totally dodged the question of whose words you had in quotes. Just man up and admit it was your own little strawman.
First, I don't care in the slightest what you think of my credibility, even as you attempt to bolster your feeble opinion by claiming to know that 90% here think the same way you do. Second, if you had a legitimate response to what I wrote, you would have put that here rather than simply conjure up the fiction of your personal attack. Third, I have absolutely no reason to falsify anything here, in fact it would never cross my mind to do so but I see you have no problem doing so.
1. I’m basing the estimate on how many people call you out for being full of shit on a regular basis. It was indeed an estimate based on my observations, I’ve taken no poll. 2. I put the legitimate response in the other post I made and you read/replied to. 3. I didn’t mean to suggest you falsified anything here. Falsifying implies intent. I’m suggesting the voices in your head make you genuinely believe the things you post regardless of reality.
