We're Jet fans. We've all seen this movie with the fourth quarter opponents comeback. But, I have learned something from Bowles, he is aggressive and wants to win. He didn't just run out the clock, he trusted Fitz and Marshall took it to the endzone. I like this movie a lot and looking forward to watching it over and over this season and beyond.
Both have done an amazing job so far, Mac with the draft and all his signing and our Head coach who has brought a calmness to this team and fanbase that had been lacking for awhile.
wasnt worried, I knew chan would go to marshall and I knew marshall was not going to cost us the game, especially with no one in the state of Indiana able to stop him
If it wasn't for Gore dropping the ball for no reason the Colts would have taken the lead there.I still can't belive he dropped it ,it was a def TD if that didn't happen
Same but when we easily scored it told me the jets were never worried. They came in with a passing game plan and it worked.
Personally, I feel like we barely made it out of the game with a win. We started super strong, then the refs stopped calling penalties. Missed 29 yard field goal. Fluke fumble by Gore at the goal line. They don't miss that field goal and they would have had a ton of momentum. Gore dropped the ball untouched. If things like that didn't go wrong, Luck wouldn't have been playing so freaked out and maybe wouldn't have made so many bad throws.
Based on how I screamed like a school girl when we countered with our own TD I would say I was pretty nervous
Was nervous before the TD. It felt like we let too many of their mistakes pass without making them pay for it. Felt like one of those teams where the team hangs around not belonging and then they put it together. that offensive drive was the first "pressure" drive for the offense and what a drive it was.
Let's be honest .... every Jet fan with history knows the script when we go conservative with a lead against a great offense. It rarely goes well. Especially with Luck's track record of comebacks. This fear was multiplied in most Jet fans as we were (and still are) learning about a new coach with a defensive background. Two things were different last night: We responded by taking the gloves off and opening the playbook. We had a QB with the smarts to run the engine, and skill players who won their 1:1 matchups (against an out-manned defense) This defense is like nothing we've EVER seen (or at least I've seen in 25 years of watching this team). We win the matchups on the LOS and we win the matchups in the skill positions. Even someone as good as Luck - who did a GREAT job evading the blitz and making things happen with his feet (no Jet sacks) still had to take too many risks, which ultimately were too much for even his greatness to mitigate. Plus - something just seems different about Bowles. Will hold out judgement for more of a sample set. He just seems to be on point and balanced in ways that Herm, Rex, Mangini never were.
I wasn't quite "same ol' Jets" but I will admit I was nervous. But the Pryor int unpuckered me and I could sit back in my seat again.
I was very nervous after the colts scored that td. It was very nice that the offense came out and put me at ease again.
im never not nervous during jets game. until the game is over and even after the postgame show after a win im nervous. this team has blown too many games in too many ways
