Been a lurker at this forum for a while, but just had to chime in: What the fuck is wrong with some of you? I'm as big a fan as anyone, but, at the end of the day, it's just a fucking game. Hence, there is no reason to wish physical harm or career ending injuries on anyone for stupid foot-fetish references that everyone and their mother's are already making fun of anyway. Welker did not attack anyone's family, he poked fun at Ryan's strange bedroom preferences. Who fucking cares?! As a vet who has done two tours in Iraq, I can confidently say that some of you take this game way too seriously. As great a game as football is, a rivalry does not justify taking away a man's livelihood. Bart Scott, is not a bad ass for threatening someone half his size. He is just another overpaid athlete (a dumb one at that). The fact that some of you would actually like to see Wes Welker injured over harmless comments speaks volumes about the type of person you are.
jayhood of course you wish physical harm on the opposing players - ITS A PHYSICAL GAME. Causing Physical Harm is part of football. More importantly intimidation especially for receivers is a big part of football. Welker decided to attack rex ryan and his family. Welker is a grown up NFL player, if he wants to start trashing the Coach and his family - then thats up to wes. But if you expect Rex's D to not notice that and use it as a very good motivating factor to try and shut down the pats and knock welker's block off than you are just totally clueless.
