Hello, Pats fan here. I have been reading here for a few days, and I know there is a lot of animosity going on here. I'm not really here to add to it, but I would like to comment. First off, I want to make clear that I have no problem with anything RR said, I don't care about what Cromartie said(with football being the way it is, there are tons of players that hate other players), I don't have a feeling one way or another on WW's comments(I'm not even sure they were intentional as he always mentions feet a lot in his press conferences-although it would be a pretty big coincidence). I do wish Welker would have said something about Cromartie instead as I think he is an asshole(and I have no problem with RR or his foot fetish). The Bart Scott comment is what it is. I personally would be pissed if one of the Pats players said it, but since one of your players said it, I'm ok with it. The reason why is because this only helps the Pats. The NFL is already looking into discipline for the comments, but even if nothing happens there, the refs will be watching him very closely. I want the Pats to dominate this game in every way(as I'm sure you guys want for the Jets), but if BS wants to add a penalty to extend a drive or two, that's fine by me. It's unlikely that he will actually injure Welker as it's hard to get a clean hit on him anyway. It could make Bart Scott play a bit more timid if he's afraid of getting penalized, although I doubt it. Also, as I'm typing this, there's already a penalty for unnecessary roughness on Hines Ward, so it does seem that they are going to try to keep this under control. Personally, I don't think this game will be that close, it's just not a great match up for the Jets, but you can never underestimate the passions of these two teams and what that can create. I just wish this damn game would start, the waiting is the worst part.
He said his days in a uniform are numbered....they are...his uniform has a number. LOL What's the big deal ?
It's a big deal to the NFL, they are anal about these things. I don't think the Patriots care much, and I'm sure the Jets don't care much either.
dont bullshit yourself with the welker shit. i think it fires the jets up. and i think rex ryan set up a trap, and the patriots players responded, but they did it in a distasteful fashion...by making fun of the coach they love, and his wife. duhrr "im not sure if welker ment anything by the foot comments" duhrr. hey im not sure bart scott meant anything by saying "welker's days in a uniform are number'd" oh wait he did, because he wont play forever right? dont be a dumb fuck.
Your an idiot. Your secondary besides Mccourtey is going to get burned all day and your D Line in a non factor. We held Peyton to 16 points...why can't we do it to Brady???
The Jets held Peyton to 16 points yes, they only had one, maybe 2 weapons to shut down and they are useless. The Pats have more than just Brady, Pats offense is pretty healthy and for as bad as our defense is according to you, we're ranked JUST below you in ppg. The poor little terrible New England defense allows 19.6 ppg while the all mighty Jets allow only 19! That's huge! (difference of 14 points.)
Quick grammar lesson (just for fun): "His days" = subject "Are numbered" = predicate ...the fact that his uniform has a number does not make this statement true
some of these pats seem to be totally delusional about their guys. That is to be expected but its still pretty hilarious.
Because Peyton and the Colts were half the team they have been in recent years. Here are your(Jets Fans) arguments based off of the Colts game. We help Peyton Manning to 16 points - Great, but this was Peyton Mannings worst year since his rookie year, not to mention he had a bunch of 4th stringers catching passes(or dropping passes). Plus, Manning sucks in the playoffs, its not even up for debate. If he was anywhere near as good in the playoffs as in the regular season, he'd have 4 or 5 superbowls, and the 1 he did win, the defense won it, his numbers were half of his normal stats. Brady is having the best season of his career and knows the Jets much better than Manning ever will. Also, the Colts suck at running the ball, it's much easier defending a one dimensional team. We aren't the best run team in the NFL, but we have found ways to run the ball successfully. We ran all over the Colts - Again, great, but their offensive line averages 270 lbs, ours doesn't. Their run D is awful anyway. It's a tougher matchup for you guys, and Woody is out, which won't help. Sanchez had a great second half. Awesome, but he didn't win you the game. A good punt return and a great catch by butterfingers Edwards got you into position, otherwise the field goal is much longer and missable. Also, the Colts d all together was below average all year, and you only scored 17. Our D is much better, younger, faster, and hungrier. You will get some running yards, but when BB has gameplanned for running this year, we have substantially slowed down the run. If Sanchez has to throw a lot, in Foxboro, in the cold, under pressure, it strongly favors the Pats. You beat the Colts, and I'm glad for that, but lets not kid ourselves, you beat a below average Colts team, they were only in the playoffs because the Jaguars had a huge collapse. The match ups aren't even close to even. Like I said before, the one thing that could make this close is desire, but we will both have it, so I'm not sure what it's worth.
shut the fuck up faggot. your analysis makes no sense. You be here when we trounce your ass tomorrow and you are crying with your homo ass "just a friend" skinny jean wearing friend named elliot.
Wow, airstrike, and jets4lyfe, way to come back with intelligent responses. I know there are quite a few intelligent Jets fans out there(and not just the ones preticting NE to win), but there are a few really confused ones as well.
Facts are facts, go back and look at the Colts games and stats this year, look at your games and stats this year, and look at our games and stats this year. It's pretty simple, if you don't see it, you're in denial. And if the Jets do somehow win this game, I will be the first one on here to congratulate them.
