It may look like that to you... but you might want to wait and see what happens before you presume things that you don't know about.
The words and threats back and forth have been going on all season. The pats are every bit as involved in it as the Jets are. Keep in mind that all the talk in the media and the tweets and posing is essentially show business - execution on the field is really the only thing that matters. Frankly the Jets should be pissed off - they were embarrassed the last time these two teams played. The Pats played great and the Jets played like crap. But things can turn around in the NFL pretty quickly and the way that the Pats and Brady rubbed it in could well have very negative consequences for the Pats on Sunday. Thats life - Reap the wind - Sow the Whirlwind.
Jets are freaking soft! They talk trash all week while the Pats are silent until they hear Welker made a feet reference and then they get all butthurt about it. Thanks for threatening one of our players! That's a great move, give the Pats incentive to rally around a teammate. What's gonna be the Jets' rally cry? "They made fun of our coach because he likes to suck on his wife's toes! Put on your helmets boys! Let's hope Sanchez can hit a checkdown!"
Finally... I could not remember who it was on the Pats that on 3 consecutive plays delibertly dove shoulder first into Greene's knees. You also can not forget Gronkowski driving his knee into Ihedigbo's knee while he was lying on the ground injuring him. I like that Scott has put Welker on notice that he's going to get jacked up. As long as the hit that KO's his ass is legal I have no issue with him , Brady or anybody else on the Pats getting blasted.
Pretty sure Welker isn't going to have a problem going over the middle like he normally does. He got absolutely laid out by Ryan Clark in the Steelers game a couple years ago and bounced right back up. Doubt Bart could hit any harder than that.
so Scott is gonna lay Welker out and hit his knees. Good. Whatever it takes to win. I just wish if we were playing to hurt someone we'd focus on Brady.
this "incentive" shit is ridiculous... I just watched the cbs pregame and they all agreed how the cromartie talk is going to "fuel" tom brady blah blah blah. i don't buy it. So if the jets trash talk is somehow inspiring the pats, what would have happened if alcrotraz kept his mouth shut? brady wouldn't try as hard? he would play worse? bullshit all of these commentators need to shut up. sure, it's easy to play it safe and jump on the pats bandwagon, especially after all the jets pump up talk. and i understand too, because people like phil simms would look like they're condoning the trash talk if they were to say anything positive about the jets. but screw them. i say the jets are ready to kick some ass tomorrow. woodcock's emergence has only further proven that welker is an average player who couldn't do shit in the NFL if it weren't for brady. bard scott is hysterical. if welker's lucky, he'll be able to stand on his own 2 feet monday morning instead of the more likely scenario that he'll be lying in a hospital bed somewhere
Bingo.. I've heard Rex say that he has shown these guys the 45-3 game over and over and over. A) It's going to piss them off and B) they're going to hopefully see where it all went wrong that night.
hmm did the pats fall into the jets motivation trap? seems scott, and mangold arent too happy of what welker said about rex, and his wife.
