he might not be but you never know. a kid with his size speed and ability doesnt need too many shots to take someone out. its all dreams until the first snap anyways.
I thought about that, but he's 34 and a little slower. More a safety than a CB. And LOVE your avatar!
I read his bio somewhere today....can't find the damn page again. It said the Ravens were running more of a 4-3 at the time Scott played OLB. For the last two years, he has been inside.
He's not lying. They said Bart Scott and the Jets have agreed on 5 years $40 million, which confirms previous reports
Scott will play inside for us, he can and has played 4-3 outside linebacker for Baltimore. We just have a lot of depth outside and have a big need inside, and ILB is his stronger position. So while he is versatile i would expect him to play pretty much exclusively inside next to Harris
Nothing posted yet...will be a big disappointment if Scott overplays his hand and the Jets let him stroll out to another meeting.
The National Football Post reports that inside linebacker Bart Scott has agreed to terms with the Jets on a multi-year contract. NFL.com's Adam Schefter says the deal is expected to be signed later Friday for roughly $8 million a year. Scott, like new teammate Calvin Pace, is highly versatile and intelligent. The Jets have the makings of a great linebacker group, and Rex Ryan will know how to maximize Scott's talent after coaching him for years in Baltimore. This signing makes a lot more sense for New York than getting the downside of Ray Lewis' career. The Ravens have to be deeply disappointed, but they seem likely to increase their efforts to sign Lewis now.
