Shefter also says a close source tells him Ray Lewis WILL NOT return to Baltimore. Doesn't expect Jets to sign him. Cool.
Unless we are drafting some safety or trading for one stud to put next to Rhodes(Unless Elam is seriously the answer.....) then I expect Scott to get some safety looks. Boneheaded player but the dude is versatile.
This is cogent and indisputable analysis. Don't be idiotically disingenuous. If you want to criticize the contract, fine, but don't submit bullshit "ratios" that ignore what the player was actually asked to do last season.
Well, I'd really like to know what makes him worth 8 million; and if my disingenuous ratio fosters that atmosphere, then I'd say it worked...
Scotted signed http://http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/02/breaking-scott-signs-with-jets/ It's done. Now who's next?
More importantly, he primarily was asked to play in coverage last season. It makes perfect sense when you consider what else the Ravens had at LB.
You could have just asked the question and not been misleading about it, I suppose. Somehow I'm thinking that would have led to more honest discourse, no?
Ok first of all Leonhard is going to be signed from Baltimore, it is practically a done deal. He is going to play opposite Rhodes. Yes he is versatile, to play ILB or OLB, maybe even drop into midrange/CB coverage to cover a TE or slot. But safety? You do realize how big Scott is right? And that he is an ILB right?
