Absolutely. Put him deep on the CB chart, maybe a nickel or dime back. And you can still draft an elite corner to be next to Revis. I mean lets be honest, other than Revis and Lowery, the rest of our CBs aren't much to write home about. Remember we released Barret, and Carroll and Law are free agents. So other than Drew Coleman (he's still in the team right?) we have no depth at the position right now. Very very happy about the Scott signing. Can't wait to see him and Harris tearing up the middle next season.
Im loving this move. Scott + Harris + Pace + Gholston (hopefully much improved) will give us a great backfield.
What really matters are the bonus/salary configurations, cap number, guaranteed portion and length. Until we have that information it's hard to judge. The actual amount of money that goes into Bart Scott's bank account really isn't important to us.
$8 million a year is a lot. I hoped we could get him for around 6. But I?m glad we choose Scott over RayRay.
Schefter's updated report contains possibly the worst line in the history of journalism: "Change came to this country in January and it looks like it’s coming to Baltimore as well."
