Me, too. But he did say expected. Not a done deal, yet. He is far and away the best source on the Jets, and I like him on the post game show, too.

Scott is traveling to the Jets this morning. Once the deal is done, it likely would help solve another major piece of the free-agent puzzle. Scott’s signing with the Jets would leave Ravens free-agent linebacker Ray Lewis likely returning to Baltimore. It is hard to see how Baltimore would allow itself to lose both Scott and Lewis. Landing Scott is not enough for the Jets and their new head coach, Rex Ryan. The Jets also are hosting a visit from Baltimore free-agent cornerback Corey Ivy. He could be yet another former player of Ryan’s coming to New York to help the Jets learn the new defensive system and contribute on the field as well. http://blogs.nfl.com/category/adam-schefter/?icampaign=DW_free_agency_friday
It actually makes sense to have a player for each position on defense. I'm not surprised by Corey Ivy to be honest. I called this move a week ago. It's all done to help make the Jets players make the transition to Rex's defensive system. I can't see them throwing a lot of money to an aging CB.
