The below is officially from Cimini's Official NY Daily News Jets Blog: Looks pretty official to me, although we may want an official ruling on that...

    It's done. Again.

After several hours of high-stakes negotiations with the Jets and Ravens, coveted linebacker Bart Scott has agreed to sign with the Jets, according to a league source.

The deal is believed to be for $48 million over six years, but the last year is an option.

The Jets can stop sweating. The two sides agreed in principle late in the morning, but Scott's agent rekindled talks with the Ravens, fueling speculation that Scott was going to jilt the Jets.

i am too wise to believe that 1 player will have that much of an impact on a team sport. the beauty of sports is; you have to play in order to determine who the winner is. jenkins was worth every dime we gave him, but di he single hanedly stop our slide out of 1st place? did revis? so, let's be sensible.

    Done Deal.

Linebacker Bart Scott and the New York Jets agreed to a six-year deal worth $48 million on Friday, according to Scott's agent Harold Lewis.

Earlier in the day the Jets offered a five-year, $40 million deal. When New York upped the offer by a year, Scott choose the Jets over Baltimore.

Scott arrived at the Jets facility early Friday morning to meet with his former Ravens defensive coordinator, Rex Ryan, who is now the head coach of the team.

Scott has played seven seasons with Baltimore amassing 433 tackles and 16 sacks in his career. His best season was in 2006 when he made the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team. In that season, he had 103 tackles and 9? sacks.

Andrew Marchand of ESPN 1050 radio in New York contributed to this report.
