Regardless of what type of pitches you think Jeter is getting thrown, he's hitting .326 right now, and finished 2nd in the MVP voting last year. A career .317 hitter who has hit under .300 three times out of twelve full seasons in the majors. Not to mention three gold gloves thrown in there, Jeter is an above average player and hitter.

    Case closed.

MrElectric,i think you're wrong on this one, i hate derek with a passion, but during his prime i would've takin him over anyone. I'd still take him in the playoffs over any met. Thats the extent of me defending Jeter.

Bonds on the other hand.. Leave him alone. I hope he hits 800. This era is tainted, and i still dont care. My everyday life isn't any different. I still hate waking up and going to work everyday, i still wake up and hate that my girlfriend is the most annoying bitch i ever met..

Oh and as far as Jeter hitting the ball well with no one on.

    -.343 with runners on
    -.313 with none one
    -.383 with RISP

I'm talking about Jeter RIGHT NOW, I know he used to be an above average player. I doubt you would take Jeter over A-Rod. This year, hopefully we won't see Jeter and the Yankees in the playoffs for once.

    and

Bonds is the BEST home run hitter of all time...for now.

Jeter the last 2 years has been as good as he's ever been, with the exception of the insane year in 99. Not sure what you're basing his supposed decline on.

I can't wait to see what the reaction will be like when Arod breaks the record.

Can't agree more. He may have cheated, but so did tons of other players, as the rules weren't enforced. You can't put the blame of the 'roid era on his shoulders.

Well, Bonds has managed to do one impossible thing. Making a non Yanks fan cheer for A-rod now. I hope to hell he breaks the record.

doesn't change anything, because Bonds defenders will defend him no matter what, considering what we already know about him.

He could turn out to be an alien from Mars using otherworld technology and it wouldn't make a difference.

I'm not sure which of your arguments makes less sense:

That Bonds never did anything or that Jeter isn't any good and doesn't help the Yankees win.

I'm going to say it's a tie. Congratulations.

wtf? Jeter's fielding has never really been the best, but his hitting is unquestioned.

above average? the guy is well above average right now, let alone from 1998-2000 (reeled of averages of .324, .349, and .339).

:rofl2: He finished second in the mvp last year. And he's having a great year this year. I don't quite understand what the basis of your argument is. Have you watched any baseball game this year?

Holy f*ck dude, settle down a little bit, your love for barry bonds is little frightning, but anyways, I aint going to argue with you here.

I used to like Bonds back in the day, back before he did roids. But to me its pretty obvious that he did take something when he hit 73 and continued to where hes at today.

This is just my opinion but I really hate the guy, so go ahead and let me hear it because heres a little something for you...Barry Bonds Sucks!

No doubt Bonds did steroids, no doubt that I don't care, no doubt that he's the HR Champ, like it or not.

This thread gives me a headache.

That's in reality and in fantasy baseball.

I don't get it. Didn't you write that jeter sucks? Now you are defending him?
