Cause it be more likely 09 or later before we even sniff the POs & right now we need as many young bodies that can produce as possible. By then JV will be getting long in the tooth. IMHO he is just a average LBer who will never become a legend nor will anyone refer to him when he retires.
It will not be that long until we are able to make a run for the playoffs. But even if it were that long, Vilma would still be 27 years old, and still in his prime.
Curses are excuses that fans drum up when they root for a losing team like us. If you have good players/HC/FO then the word curse is never used by the fans of those teams
! either way...people saying the jets arent going to compete for the next 3 years makes me laugh...i think i may have just shit my pants from laughter:shit:
It could very easily be a very tuff 3 years for Jets fans... optimism keeps me hopeful that the tailspin will correct itself quickly, but there is an awful lot of holes to plug. In other news... don't feed the trolls.
What made you pull '09 out of your hat? Or later? NFL ain't the same league it used to be. Quick turnarounds happen all the time. And we don't know what the roster is going to look like in '06. If we keep Penny and hes healthy, if we keep Mawae and Kendall, then we've got a solid chance to be 8-8.
Come on man. You expect this guy to be a legend? He's on the right course, maybe now he has the coaching and experience to make that next step. But to say he's average after the two years he has put up is insane. Vilma can play like he has the next 7 years like he has the last two and you'd still call him average... BUT THE SECOND the Jets let him walk, IF they ever do(Bettern ot)...You'll say the organization let go of a great player, typical Jets...You're a broken record Champ, your act is old.
