Amazing how we want to cut Barlow out of the equation. Especially in favor of CMart, who is not even sure he will ever return. Or Houston, who wasn't all that spectacular, and now is out, and who knows about his return.

Having a combo of Barlow and Washington is exactly what we need. You get a bruiser for the short yards, and a quick, smart back for bigger breaking plays.

Barlow is our best short yardage back with the possible exception of Brad Smith. He is worth a roster spot.

I like Barlow on the goal line. He seems like such a determined runner, when it looks like he doesn't care unless it's inside the 10.

The only guy I'm done with is Blaylock. He just sucks. There is just nothing impressive about his game. No burst, no power, no vision. Barlow is useful, just not as the primary runner. If he's splitting carries with Washington and getting goal line carries, fine. But don't give him the bulk of the work. Between him, Washington and Houston whenever he comes back, the run game will be fine so long as the line continues to progress.
