    "HUGE" cap hit? Nope.

571K if cut prior to 6/1, and COUNTED as prior to 6/1. If you split it over 2, we save about 700K in 2007, but spend 1.27M in 2008.

and BTW Blaylock was in no way a MISTAKE. It was an unfortunate injury and hasn't produced since. Sure AFTER the fact you can call that a stupid pick up, but at the time it wasn't. We aren't getting rid of anyone untill the offseason anyway and a thread like this is USELESS. At the end of the season you can say bye to the two of them but now they are here to stay, esp if martin goes on IR. If he comes back... then yea bye Blaylock.

If he was cut, that would hold true to the curse put upon me whenever I decide to buy a player's jersey.

Blaylock was OK as long as he was a CoP behind a real RB. He no longer has a role on this team.

Barlow on the other hand hit the pile hard today. He was dishing out and taking a lot of punishment. He's what I call cannon fodder this year. He softens the D for Leon.

No joke, and yes I deserved to be laughed at for that. He was a jet for about 2 weeks after I bought it before he was cut.

Barlow showed some flashes today - and seems to be a good change of pace with Washington. Washington is a shifty runner and Barlow is quick into the hole.

Houston adds depth when he is healthy.

If you think we should cut Blaylock, I can't put up a good arguement to keep him...

...but I wouldn't count on Curtis Martin coming back.

I'm not expecting him too either, and would actually rather he didn't at this point in his career. Leon Washington + Cedric Houston = Unstoppable.

blaylock is a waste of a roster spot. he will prob be inactive the rest of the year and then released. barlow can bang in there, he is still useful. when houston comes back it will be crowded a bit. martin is not coming back.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Why would you cut Barlow loose. Because he is not your future back..... SO WHAT? hE IS DOING FINE WITH LEON AS A CHANGE OF PACE. Have you checked him in the red zone? Have you counted how many TDs he has so far....all inside the 10 yard line where it gets tough. Yhe, let's cut him, and let Leon get all the carries...OR BANK ON CURTIS ON COMING BACK...YEH THAT WOULD REALLY SMART. CUT HIM FOR WHAT?
Why don't we worry about our real problems, like a D pass rush.

Mabey i would cut Barlow after this season as he is far too overrated.
Blaylock is not a valuable player and i think he should be traded for something at least or just cut

Barlow stays. I'd even consider extending his contract.

That boy is a sledgehammer at the goal line and in short yardage situations.
