I must be in the minority, I always liked Junc. Being married 26 years, I'm used to being told tha same thing over and over and having lived through two teenagers, I'm pretty good at being wrong all the time... he's like part of the family. Good luck in your travels around the interweb Junc.
I'm sure junc is reading all this and regretting his perma ban on the site. He may just become a permanent Dolphins fan and takeover finheaven now.
Nah.... you're not the only one. I really liked junc and I'm disappointed in the way things went down and I wish he could have changed but I honestly don't think in his mind he thinks he was the problem. He certainly had some faults but I think he was a pretty decent guy. He just had a certain way of making guys tick, he almost got me a few times but I would restrain myself. I hate to point it out but there were many times he actually was right but it's those times he was wrong, I mean the way he would "educate" us on Ken O'Brien and go on about what a non advantage spy gate was or deflate gate is pretty silly.
I guess I should chime in as well. Frankly speaking, long time posters usually get a somewhat preferential treatment here when it comes to suspensions and permabans. It's not as easy to get banned for someone with 1000+ posts, as it is for someone with just a few. But I am sure you all knew that anyway Junc, well.... he had over 50,000 posts last time I checked, which probably should have made him invincible but he just couldn't stop. It came to the point when it was either him or a whole bunch of other posters. Hopefully, the board will become a better/friendlier place now.
Wow, what a great day. I just got Sunday Ticket for free this year and $40 a month cut off my Directv bill, and Junc is gone. Damn, life is good................
I called and asked when the date of my contract was up. Everybody is cutting the cord, I guess. Only catch was I renew for 12 months.
Petro, You make a good point about veteran posters here, and I would have to think it is a real consideration for running a site like this. I normally do not approve of banning posters, either, as a general matter. I had junc on ignore for a long time now, the bettter approach in general. But even on ignore junc was a near constant thread derailer, and that became an issue even having him on ignore. So I know it was not a clear no brainer to ban him, but on the whole it was the right decision.
I just got back from my 9 day Caribbean cruise with my family to learn that junc is perm-banned?!?! I gotta ask: What was the last post he made on this site?
