simply disagree. i think the health was just another excuse. i never thought he had a legit shot at being a starter and thought he would struggle t stay in the league

i guess we will have to agree to disagree. to me he has an extremely low ceiling, and even less from a talent standpoint

I really don't know where you could've gotten that idea from, but I guess I'll leave it at this.

just re-watched some of his games in december, dude was a sure tackler while preventing his man from making forward progress, made some decent reads, was an active participant in making stops when he realized a play was going another way, prevented more than a few passes from being complete with physicality and good technique, and looked very capable as a defensive back.

I cant say without a shadow of doubt that this is his norm or if he'll ever be a starter in the future, but man if he's out of the league its not because he had no talent or skills.

I saw the same thing, December 2013 (solid coverage, all over). It was very disappointing when Dee got injured last season...I think it was on special teams play too..? Hope he is not made of glass, so far not looking good.

Not saying the kid is going to make it in this league, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he can show something this season. He has a big opportunity this season to prove people wrong, make Cro have to work harder.

    Secondary competition should be fun.

When healthy, I actually thought he looked ok.

Small sample size, but showed enough to earn a competition with Cromartie for the number 2 spot imo.

Cromartie made the pro bowl for three straight years.

If Millner can take the nickel spot away from Buster that would be a big win for him.

Agreed 100%. Plus, Milliner's injury concerns were not as apparant when we drafted him because he always played through his injures in college and barely missed a game.

After 2 years, Milliner has an incredibly low floor. He may never regain his physicalty of his psyche necessary for tackling and making quick decisions.

That said, Milliner's ceiling is still incredibly high. I'm not sure how anyone could say otherwise unless they know more about the injury than I do. His technique is there; the question is really a physical one.

Again, have to agree to disagree. constant sepration, constantly loses battles with his man beating him on in cuts. lost on rubs and picks. i mean maybe he is a decent tackler.... but he cant cover to save his life. i just dont see him as a pro football player, at least not at corner, maybe special teams, who knows

    thats absurd.

he is going to have to fight with mcdougle just to stay on the roster

Disagree. I would actually be shocked if he didnt make the roster.

If totally healthy, I wouldnt be shocked if he took Cromartie's job by the end of the year.

the fact that skrine and cromartie are even on the roster goes to show how little faith there is in milliner. he has 0 shot of beating out cro or skrine. and i doubt he even beats out mcdougle to be honest. Cro is a 3 time probowler who just had a great year under bowles at arizona. if he got beat out by milliner it would be a monumental disaster

I think that is more a testament to Milliner's durability as opposed to his ability. I dont think Skrines spot is in jeopardy because I dont think Milliner is a slot corner.

Like I said, if Milliner was starting opposed to Revis by the end of the season, I wouldnt be surprised.

i would be shocked. it would mean that cromartie either got hurt or had a horrible season and probably would mean skrine and mcdougle got hurt as well

It would mean that Milliner was proving to be healthy and a better option on the outside than a 31 year old Cromartie.

Skrines and McDougle have nothing to do with it. They are slot corners in my eyes. If they can actually play on the outside, all the better. But my point is based on them being slot corners.

But I'd rather not keep going in circles. Agree to disagree.

Skrine can play on the outside. i expect alot of it and i think his versatility is a big part of why we got him. allows us to put revis on the other teams best player, even if that is a TE or Slot guy kicking skrine outside.

cromartie being 31 is irrelevant. he is a top end talent. Milliner, even when healthy, is a borderline nfl player.
