Well in fairness those aren't the most intelligent questions...sound like Twitter comments...not a huge Mayfield fan tho.

"I am who I am" says Baker, and that is completely true - he am an asshole.

I would have loved to see Baker go toe-to-toe with Manish.

That's true. Though as far as I know, a regression like Mayfield's is unprecedented. The only QB I can think of who lit it up as a rookie and ended up as a bust was RG3. And that was because injuries wouldn't let him run like he used to. I'm curious if Mayfield can bounce back; even if he can get back to his rookie level, that's a decent QB.

I wanted Watson over Adams....... had ZERO idea Mahomes would be what he is, but then when Andy Reid got him, I thought "Shit" this kid's gonna be good.

RG3's rookie year was a lot more impressive than Mayfield's though.

Maybe mayfield's rookie year was just a mirage. I mean he beat up on some terrible teams. 27 touchdowns but 7 of them came against terrible Cincinnati. Set that aside and he's got 20 TDs, 19 turnovers last season. That aint that impressive at all

vince young as well. won OROTY i think he made a pro bowl too and turned into a bust
Mahomes did shock everyone. it's crazy how good he's been so fast. but andy ried is kind of a QB whisperer too. and he has kelce and hill to throw too. I highly doubt mahomes would be putting up those numbers if we drafted him

I can't see that bravado ever working for a quarterback. That's why I was shocked when I heard him shooting up to #1 overall.

It's even more remarkable because his supporting cast got significantly better. Any nonsense about their offensive line is just that; nonsense. His line isn't that bad. Greg Robinson, the left tackle, isn't great but he hasn't exactly been a turnstile. Kitchens is just a moron. 4th + 9 draw vs. the Rams on the game tying drive.

If Baker's first read isn't open he panics and gets happy feet. He tries to break the pocket and runs right into sacks.

    All talk.

Go to work, do the job well, stay humble. For goodness sake you're a Cleveland Brown!!!! Know your place in the NFL pecking order!!

If they want to change people's perception of them do it with Ws not talk.

As Tom Coughlin used to say:

Talk is cheap, play the game.

So now Baker says that the reason they sucked in the red zone last week is because the home fans were too loud, and they need to be silent when the Browns are on offense. Sorry, this isn't tennis or golf, you asshole. How about sucking it up and actually playing good football for a change, moron?

He really should sit down and take some notes on how the young stars of this league conduct themselves.

I understand wholeheartedly that they're kids and let the kids play and be themselves and yada yada. Lamar Jackson and Wentz and Goff and Watson all have fun without being jerkoffs.

  19. Thats bc the first one taken is usually the one the most NFL ready but often doesnt have the highest ceiling.NFL ready is not what to strive for in a 1st round QB..

that's not true. it's usually the bets prospect in the eyes of the team taking them overall. nobody likes the "safe" QB they all want the high ceiling one. FWIW rosen was widely considered the most NFL ready QB in the draft and the safest one with the lowest floor but a lower ceiling and he was the 4th one taken. Allen was considered the highest ceiling but lowest floor, sam was considered a high floor but a 2-3 year project. mayfield wasn't really considered anything outside of the most competitive and most experienced. we has a high 2nd rounder at the end of the college season then shot up draft boards. Sam was projected at 1st overall for the year
