One of only 3 QBs in NFL history to throw TD passes in each of his first 10 games. That throw was a beauty. 80% comp rate, 1 TD and no INTs and a win. He's putting together a very good rookie campaign.
You need to watch the tape. That 66 yard opening throw was badly placed and should have been a touch down if he was an accurate passer ~solid gold bullshit
What's ironic is he kept saying he was giving his unbiased opinion when there was plenty of evidence to suggest he was more biased than the pro Mayfield crowd(of which I was a member of) was.
Look at these terrible throws. Leads first guy too much coasting an EASY TD. Then a few instances of him making poor decisions by throwing into tight and sometimes double coverage. He obviously lacks the arm strength, height to see over the line, and decision making to be an NFL qb.
I almost feel sorry for SGB that you guys are piling on the evidence to refute his "unbiased" film analysis.
And Carolina is like a Big 12 defense. Btw, that first long TD? Guy was wide open. That's not going to happen in the...wait whut?
He self-banned himself until the offseason. Was a passive-agressive emo taking my basketball and going home goodbye for now post.
Anyone naming themselves after this disaster of a coach deserves a ban in some fashion. He’ll come back next year with a different name for sure.
The guy refuses to admit he is wrong, I don’t feel bad one bit. Doubling down on the wrong side of an argument when the evidence is clear is just plain hubris.
Interesting, was listening to Alan Hahn yesterday on ESPN Radio--he said he had some inside info that the only QB the Giants were considering was Mayfield and had the Browns not taken him, they Giants would have selected him and not taken Barkley. FWIW.
SPLIT CMP ATT CMP% YDS Y/ATT TD INT RATING w/ Haley 130 223 58.3% 1,471 6.6 8 6 78.9 w/ Kitchens 112 153 73.2% 1,406 9.2 11 4 114.4 Amazing a difference a coaching change makes. Hopefully Sam has a similar result after this season.
I think not. I think it has to do with him now playing bad defenses, guys being wide open and receivers making incredible plays on inaccurate and poorly thrown balls.
To be fair, they got a hell of a player. I did not think Barkley was going to be as good as he is. Having said that, if both become perennial Pro Bowl type players, we win that gamble by 1000%. I’m hoping the Giants go QB in round 1 this year because I don’t think any of these guys are any good.
