Yeah I agree. Getting a stronger sense Giants are going OL, RB or trading out. IF they go QB, I’m wondering if they take Allen as their own “Wentz” because it seems like they will go with Eli for 1 or 2 more seasons. Don’t necessarily need a day 1 starter prospect. I just can’t see Rosen as a Giant.
I'm hoping Cleveland is enamored with Allen and takes him 1. It would be a horrible pick and open up a world of possibilities for the Jets to move up and get their guy. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Although it's Cleveland we're talking about, I would still be very surprised if they take Allen, especially with the 1st pick. Given his up and down performances and expert assessments, Allen is too big of a risk for a team that has blown so many picks, especially for QBs. I think they'll take Darnold #1.
The Giants should trade back, but it has to be with the right team. If they can peg a QB needy team that is willing to overpay & will likely have a top 8 pick again next year they should do it. We're probably the closest to fitting that bill, but I don't see the Giants ever giving their roommates the chance to draft a franchise QB. If they could get our 2018 1st, a 2018 2nd & 2019 1st, they'd be foolish not to do it. They can get Barkley or an OL, make one last run with Eli, and be in position to possibly trade up for a QB next year.
Short of signing Cousins, we should trade up regardless. This is the year to get our QB, and if we're going to give away draft picks, I'd rather they not be for Alex Smith. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Some years ago, I was listening to Francesa and someone proposed a Jets-Giants trade. Francesa said "forget it" the Jets and Giants do not trade. He didn't come up with a reason, but said that's just the way it is. I suppose that could change now that the Giants have a new GM, but I suspect it has more to do with ownership.
While I think there is some truth to that, I also think that in the right circumstances, anyone can trade. The stars may need to align more... but it could happen. I doubt the teams would pass up an opportunity to really help themselves because of a cross town spat. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
While I think he merits consideration, as long as Cleveland has the #1 pick he isn't being taken first. They might yet take Rosen despite his outspoken desire to not go there,,,they may change his mind. But if they don't take Rosen they're going to want as close to a "sure thing" as possible because they know their fans won't tolerate any screw up. That's why I think Barkley is in the mix for that pick, and then they take their QB at 4. I see that as a way of buying some leeway with the fans: getting a sure thing with Barkley who will massively help whoever they have at QB, and then taking, at worst, the 3rd best QB.
while I do think the broncos are smoke screening with all the sudden heavy interest in Mayfield, I just have this feeling that if we want Baker we're going to have to trade ahead of them or with them to do it. Elway could be trying to finesse us. I think they want Cousins in Denver. Thank god that trade happened last night for Alex Smith which will send Cousins to free agency... hopefully that spoiled Elway's plan to finesse a team in to trading up for Baker. (that is of course if the jets have any interest in Baker in the first place)
That was not on the money the WR had to slow down to catch the ball. Even having to slow down the WR still had 3-5 yards separation...LOL. That's the beauty of Big 12 defenses.
I saw that too. I almost commented on it but didn't because I couldn't tell if the WR legitimately slowed down or adjusted footing (to create separation to the right) because the defender's hand obstructed his view. Regardless, 55 yards on the fly is accurate as I didn't say he hit the guy "in stride".
