That is what I will do. I will fully immerse myself into just watching the draft. After the pick, I will login to talk with you assholes about the pick.
Yes, exactly! If you don't want spoilers, it is literally THAT easy to avoid them. People act like it's impossible to disconnect from social media for a half hour. Too funny. It's like if I watch a Jets game late and DVR it, I'm not going to the Jets message board or twitter until I finish watching the game. It's pretty simple.
The only problem with this (in my opinion) is that the NFL says each team gets 10 minutes, but they need to fill out time to get ad revenue, and each pick really takes 30 minutes. It will be a longer wait than you think for number 3. Doesn't mean I'll be on my phone, but I don't need to watch highlights I've seen 1000x on Sam Darnold when he gets drafted by the Browns, him hugging his mom, dad, granddad, uncle, agent, girlfriend/wife, the interview with Deion Sanders, and all the second guessing. NFL really is ruining the draft, lol
Do you ever go to game threads when the game is being played? Assuming you do, would you rather see the TD on TV or thru twitter 2-3 minutes before it actually happened? I personally try to watch the draft and Jet games drunk and am barely on the message board. But folks like to discuss draft while it is unfolding and they prefer to watch it on TV live instead of a twitter post. What we try to do is to protect members who chose the follow the message board during draft and discuss the picks. Again, personal choice. You don't care being on the board? That's fine, I won't be on the board during Jets pick either. But allow us to provide a nice place for members to discuss the picks during draft without any twitter spoilers being posted on the message board.
How about having another thread just for apologies? It could be called the "Draft Mea Culpa Thread" where everyone who was so positive that "their guy" would be the first picked or "the other guy" wouldn't even get picked in the first round but were totally, wrong. I'm not talking about guys who simply guessed or put up an opinion but those who unequivocally claimed something would happen but it was far from reality. It might also be called the "Big Man Thread" because it will take a bigger man to admit he screwed up after making such a "sure-fire" claim.
Well, not sure if it is good news or bad news but Brook will be at Metlife drunk. Our big boss @Cman60 will be here and from what I know he is harsher than I am. So watch out. Lol
Anybody else buy Infinity War tickets weeks ago without even considering it might be on the same day? I hope the theatre doesn't take that no cell phone rule that serious. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
I have a request.... can we get Kevin Costner to run the JETS draft? oh, and I get to keep Jennifer Garner busy in the meantime
Fair enough, I just found it funny how people act like it's impossible to avoid spoilers. It's called ignore your phone & PC for 5 minutes. It can do us all a little good to unplug every now and then! Hey can I request that we premake the "DraftpickX sucks" thread as soon as the pick goes live?
Bitchin' and moanin' is totally fine. We aren't banning you to only post positive things. Start any thread you like. Bash the pick as much as you want. But don't disrespect other posters for who they like or they don't. So feel free to start your thread as long as the pick is announced on the TV. But we also have a right to merge all bitchin' and moanin' threads under one Mega thread.
Any idea what time we will be drafting? 1st round is live on TV over here, so could set the alarm, get up, watch Goodall deliver the news, check the reaction here and return to bed, all in a 30 minute window hopefully
oooooh I like that, the goat part i meant Id be ok with Rosen, Mayfield or Darnold.....i really just dont want Allen
