Cardinals make the same mistake, we made for most of the season:they go to the prevent, and let the opponent smell daylight again. I?ll never understand, why you would play that shit, when your D dominated the opponent for the entire game
Abe always absent when it counts. no heart. on a side note, Ben Graham had 3 impressive punts inside 20.
well, Arizona won, but that was a bad playcall on the drive there. End-around to Breaston? You don't want to risk a fumble or botched exchange with a guy not used to running the ball. Atlanta showcased really bad defense on that drive.
postgame interview, they made a mistake. They asked about stopping the run "next week against Carolina." If the Vikings win, the Cardinals go to New Jersey.
I wonder who they're rooting for - Minnesota (to then play the Giants) or Philly (to then play Carolina)?
Reed's final 1000 yard season was 1997- the year before Moss entered the scene. What was the question? Last team to have three 1000 yard receivers or first team to have three 1000 yard receivers? The five 1000 yard receiving triumvirates- 2008 Cardinals- Fitzgerald, Boldin, Breaston 2004 Colts- Wayne, Harrison, Stokley 1995 Falcons- Metcalf, Emanuel, Mathis 1989 Redskins- Clark, Monk, Sanders 1980 Chargers- Jefferson, Winslow, Joiner Only eight players caught passes for 1000 yards or more in 1980 and three of the top four were from the same team.
ah, so the answer is the Colts. It was who was the last team and the hint was "you don't have to think too far back." I didn't think Stokley got 1,000 yards.
If the Eagles win, then they will play the Giants. Cardinals vs. Panthers would not be a huge ratings grab, but it's still an NFL playoff game. I understand caring about ratings with other sports, but I don't get it with the NFL, especially when the Cardinals have such a good passing attack. The forward pass tends to draw in the casual fan. People are too hard for the fuckin' Cowboys and other bandwagon teams is what it is.
Not sure if you were correcting him or not, but that's what jeff was saying. As for Arizona, I don't know who I'd rather play. Probably Carolina. Close call. Either way it's going to be a tough game for them and they've never done well on the East Coast. The main reason I picked Arizona today was their home field advantage. Makes a big difference for that team.
I totally took that wrong. I thought jeff was talking about the announcers/league and what not. Then I went off on a tangent. I saw an article in the New York Post this week about ratings and how it sucks that the Jets, Pats, and Cowboys are not in the playoffs. I can't stomach that bs. Re: what statjeff was actually talking about The Cardinals probably match up better with Carolina. The Cardinals played okay in Carolina this season and would probably have a little more confidence playing there than playing in NJ.
Yeah, he eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark in the season finale. It was a Chargers-Colts game. Stokley had a big game to get over 1,000 on the season.
