I think NE will prove to be the turning point. It was a humbling moment that Zach needed to learn, and I think it changed him and forced him to believe in his teammates and coaches, and in turn the team rallied around him and came out proving their true capability together against BUF.

The turning point was the week before the Miami game when Saleh clearly told LaFleur to ground and pound (instead of trying to throw the ball all over the place and getting our QB killed). Ever since then, the drives have lasted longer and the defense has looked fresh throughout the entire game. When Hall got hurt, LaFleur went right back to the same shit and the offense fell apart again (for a game and a half) - I can only assume Saleh re-asserted himself because we were back to ground and pound against the Bills. This team's offensive line is not good, but it is at least average (if not better) at run blocking.

Too late, but I didn't say anything argumentative and derail the entire thread in a tiresome pissing contest in the process. All good, though.

Back on point, a turning point for me was scoring before halftime. That is so important, and something that the Jets hardly ever do but teams constantly do to us historically and otherwise.

That, and every time the Jets would get themselves in trouble they would answer back with a turnover. Also liked sticking to what was working in the fourth quarter. That last possession was a really exciting thing to watch, heart palpitations and all.

when the skycam interrupted the best drive of the day and then the QB fumbled almost immediately afterwards, that would've been a wrap for most Jets teams of the last 20 years+

Hahaha, that's gonna become part of Jets lore and you are so right. SkyCam, Ernie Adams was at work thinking two weeks ahead, lol. The universe threw a ridiculous curveball to ice the Jets and it almost worked . . . but not this time!

Schedule makers screwed us again. New England is also on a bye week. We lose the advantage of being the rested team. Regardless, we should still take care of them.

If you believe news reports, Ernie Adams retired before this season. I don't.

I can't decide if the Jets'll win 27-9, or 13-6. My only fear about Jets losing, is the officials. They always seem to have BB's butt.

I rarely believe anything I read. I saw this true crime thing where cops found a body burnt to a crisp in a car. The radar went up. "Hah, this guy faked his own death." I was right before the 5 minute mark.

Some dirtbag stole the identity of a dead guy, but when the cops got too close to his criminal activities - murder, fraud, other stuff - he dug up the dead body of the guy whose identity he stole and he put him in a car and set the car on fire so the dental records would match. You can't arrest me, bitches, I'm dead.

He eventually got caught, but I admit I was morbidly fascinated - heh - that someone would go to such lengths to pull something like that off. I mean, digging up a body in a cemetery in the middle of the night in an effort to complete the circle of chicanery, that takes a certain level of . . . something?

So when I did read that Ernie Adams retired I said, "Hah, this guy faked his own death."

Seeing what this team can do if the QB plays middle of the road football. If he just takes what is in front of him and doesn't turn the ball over, the Jets will be in every game. If it clicks for him and he plays like a top 15 qb, they can beat every team in the league.

Last year this same week the Bills went into The New Dump and beat the Jets 45-17. The Bills put up 489 yds against us with 4 rushing TD's.

No way this was an any given Sunday type win for the Jets. At least that's what I took away from it especially after I watched the game for the second time.

The Jets had a great draft and it shows, but the coaching is gelling so the team is in turn growing exponentially. Also take into account that we lost two rookie marquee players. I feel like I'm talking about somebody else's team and not ours, haha.

Never fear, though, at some point during the season the Jets are gonna Jet for no explicable reason known to man. Just please don't let it be too important that's all I ask.

I'll add to that. The whole pre-season was great and a turning point.

There have been many instances so far during the season that could be highlighted as a turning point for our team, but I firmly believe it was the Steelers game.

"But wait Flea! What about that miraculous Browns game?" Awesome win. Can't deny that. But seriously, you can't bank your fortune on that victory. A win like that happens in the NFL once every 20 years or so. And despite our insane luck against the Browns in those final minutes, did it actually galvanize the Jets? Not really. They got dick slapped by Cincinnati at home the next week 27 - 12.

The win against the Steelers, in my opinion, feels like a truer, more realistic comeback win than the Cleveland one. Up 10 points, only to give it up and go into the 4th quarter down 10 points on the road in a rough environment. That's a win that doesn't feel fluky and that hasn't happened to our team in the last 10 years yet happens in the NFL much more often than the one in Cleveland.

Winning in the NFL is hard. Winning on the road is even harder. Jets winning on the road is the hardest!

That Steelers win just might have showed this young team they aint the same old Jets.

Whole different defense after that game, and we haven't seen it ,much, since.

The 2021 draft. To know the GM, Scouts, and CS were all on the same page as for as what qualities and measurables they need was a nice change of pace.

It was certainly frustrating listening to the slow adaptors but with the Jets history I can appreciate why so many people failed to realize that this time is different.

alotta things are shifting in the NFL. so i see a shift not a COMPLETED turn.

we are a conatiner ship of garbage that is slowing down and the nose is pointing in a different direction, TOWARDS positive.

other things shifting, as covered in the pts scoring thread.
Wilson, Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, to a lesser extent Wentz and Tannehill all going bad.

And anyone who thought Tannehill would be perennial? Sorry. He maxed out with 2 efficient seasons with an all pro RB/WR tandem.
He is who we thought he was. (See Geno this year.)

good point. cos both teams were pretty MEH. and usually that game is won by the Steelers cos the Steelers are the Steelers and the Jets are the Jets.
