Bowles wouldn't bring in Wade Phillips as a DC, because that would show how bad he really is. With Rodgers he has a scapegoat to shield his shortcomings.
I don't care how long he's been in the league, just answer the question asked by one of the most memorable Super Bowl figures of all time:
An NFL Radio guy on Thursday afternoon called him Tim McVeigh! By the way, WTF is this doing in the NY Jets section?
Imagine bumping numerous posts claiming to be so football smart but neglecting to bump the ones that show you were way off the mark.
@The Waterboy on a roll this morning. In the words of my son, Waterboy roasted and toasted and smother Jethro in the jam.
Post makes no sense Tull Whatever is happening in LA is very positive ..they could win a wild card game and advance in playoffs!?! That's a PROBLEM?? I dont care if the HC is 16 and the Team wins a SB.. He could be the Jets next HC..just bring Goff with him and the rest of the players lol
I'm a doubting Thomas. McVay has nothing on his resume to advocate him being a head coach in the NFL. His daddy got him every job he has had no doubt. After this leaderless team figures out it needs one, it will fall apart. Flash in the pan I predict. Make fat money for a few years, make his bank, and be gone. This team was built before he arrived. He is living off the people who were there before him. I ain't buying it. No way a guy who has so little football experience, can have that position. He is gonna have to prove it. Super Bowl and nothing less. The NFL is turning into a joke.
So the team was built before he arrived. Why did they go 4-12 last season? What change was made that took that 4-12 team to 11-5? They didn't even have a 1st round pick in the 2017 draft.
Is this a joke post? Cause if not it’s one of the silliest posts I’ve seen on this forum and that is saying a lot. Oh he has nothing on his resume? How bout an 11-5 record along with a division title and likely coach of the year as well as countless recommendations from nearly everyone he’s come across in his football life. Now he may be a flash in the pan but that is nothing more than baseless speculation. What we’ve seen from him so far is he’s the next great coach in the league.
So I'm suppose to think that someone with zero experience other than assistant positions coach is the genius behind all this? Wow.
11-5 record, division title, maybe coach of the year. Countless recommendations? Who besides Gruden? This guy was an assistant positions coach, and O coordinator on a shitty team. And suddenly this 30 year old is a genius and the reason for the turn around for the Rams? No way. If you believe that, I've got ocean front property in Montana I'll sell you for $10 an acre. Are you people really buying all this hype and bullshit? Flash in the pan. So since I'm speculating as you say, what do you speculate? Long career? Next Belicheat? I can't help it if you guys can't see the Forrest for the trees. An I'm silly? I'll be sure to show you this post when he is gone.
What are u talking about? Mcvay walked into this team that was on the verge of a turnaround. I'm not believing this 30 year old with very very little coaching experience, turned this team around. Believe what you want though.
