If I were the Jet Front Office, I would jump all over the opportunity to trade Sanchez for Flacco straight up. I highly doubt Baltimore would be stupid enough to do something like that though. Flacco has qualities (leadership, confidence, decision making, toughness, football IQ) that Sanchez can only dream of at this point in his career. I prefer to analyze these factors than put a microscope to stats when comparing QBs.

Time's up Murrell. In this new NFL, QBs get 50 starts to prove themselves.

If the comp% is not over 68% by then, then they get cut and its all over.

Find me the next Tom Brady!!! But it will never happen until Curtis Martin owns the team.

I think that we can fix the run game by putting titanium robotic legs in Curtis Martin and giving Don Maynard water from the fountain of youth to bolster the WR corps.

For an OL, a moving brick wall. But it has to be as tall as 5'10. Sanchez needs to see overit.

We lost three games this season when we held the opposing QB to 10 completions or less. Think about that ... 28 total completions allowed in three games and we lost all three! That's beyond ridiculous, and I wonder how many times in NFL history that's happened.

Needless to say, the defense is not our main problem.
Let's sure up the line and get some weapons in here.

hahaha nah I slept off the alcohol. I'm just bored.

If the troll/dumb threads are going to bombard this board, then I'm going to be sarcastic in them.

This is more fun then trying to calm the overreacting.

Sanchez will be behind center next year. Knowing that, we have to recognize his strengths and weaknesses, and build the offense accordingly. He's not the most accurate passer; and he sometimes holds the ball too long. Sanchez needs a strong running game to compliment his excellent play action, and to keep pass rushers honest. We need to focus in the draft, and free agency, on our offensive line. A strong line solves a host of these problems.

i can never figure out why people think a player will come to the jets cheap? because you're a fan doesn't mean they are! it's business to them.

i do believe sanchez and the jets were a better team with b. edwards as a down field threat out jumping players for the ball.

a wee bit of a exaggeration me thinks. decades of losing? sure past history has been all of that, but who knows what the future holds!

Why on earth would we not build our offense anyway? Even if we didn't have a QB, we shouldn't just focus all of our attention on defense. But we do have a QB and we're not giving him any help. Improving the line and getting a true #1 receiver needs to be our focus.

Because the defense needs as much help as the offense. When you constantly trade up for draft picks, you suffer on both sides of the ball.

D was less of an overall problem, but TEs and backs getting outside has to be addressed by a talent upgrade.

I'd have to explain football to you and I don't have the time or the patience. Sanchez was getting killed in the second half of the season. When he had time to throw he was very successful.
