Darnold will go before we get to pick but I'm not sure he'll go to Cleveland, I fully expect him to go Manning and go to the Giants. I would prefer Mayfield over Rosen.
You sure about that? Only Rosen has said he wouldn't play for Cleveland while Darnold has said that he would welcome the challenge.
It seems that everybody has one QB they don't want, rather than one in particular that they do want. For me, they odd man out is Darnold. I'd pick Rosen 1st, then Mayfield, then Allen. I watched four USC games this year, and at no time was I impressed with Darnold. I'd rather roll with Bridgewater than that cat. He strikes me as Leinart 2.0. I could be totally wrong, of course.
Rosen is stylistically almost identical to Eli. The Giants would have such a seemless transition if they took him. Hopefully they don’t.
While those things may well be able to be overcome the real sin here would be that he likely could have been picked at #6 anyway without burning our 17 2nd round picks up in the firepit.
I wanted Rosen yesterday and then somebody pointed out his concussion history and how he could be gone for good with one bad hit. Then I read about some of his comments and how he is only in football for the money. Then he wasn't who I wanted..haha.
