    I thought bout that too. Seems like it would give the Bills valid cause to nullify the contract if they wanted to. But I don't know shit about NFL contracts so theres that.

    Team doctors will commonly prescribe painkillers; however, in recent years, it's become increasingly more common for doctors to limit the # prescribed or to regiment them in order to prevent players from abusing them "as-needed" which is a quick path to opiod dependence. Having said that, if the Bills pumped him full of pain meds to keep him on the field, it appears as though they appeased him with (pure speculation here) more than he should've been prescribed.
