I know this is a football board,but the baseball season is the biggest topic in BS during BB season,even if there are a few people who don't care for it. There are more baseball fans than not. I don't think having a sub forum is such a bad idea. Combined threads get to big,and noone feels like sifting through pages upon pages to look for something. If we have a sub forum,topics can stay fresh,and the area can be cleaned up easier too.
Why not just take it one step further and have like 5 threads in the BS forum? One each for politics, hot chicks, non-football sports, poop jokes, and ridiculous situations posters get in. I don't see the point of all this. If you don't like baseball, don't read the baseball threads. It's not like the first two pages are pure baseball.
The reason why I like the BS forum and this site so much is because of its diversity. I can find threads about sports, pissing on the back of jeans, families who are in trouble, news of the world, news of the weird, vidoe game reviews, favorite music and of course, toilet news all in one spot. I dont have to move from forum to forum to find it, its all right there. I didnt think that there was that much baseball bs to get to or miss other bs. This is the bs forum right? Let it stand as is.
i second that. i've been here for about 3 1/2 years and we've had no problems with it. Last year it was fine. Series threads are the way to go....
its been fine for years, why change it? as some said, not everyone has interest or cares about every thread here. either that or give us our own sub forum.. pretty unfair to just slap all dicussions into one giant thread.. and i am not in favor of us having a discussion then having it whiped away for a new thread buttleman said it best.
OK. I haven't heard back from Petro, but after thoughts and discussion with Baseball regulars on this forum, I think this is the best alternative. Each team: -Gets a Series Thread. Instead of 162 game threads, we reduce it to about 60 series threads per team. -Gets a News & Discussion thread- This thread would contain news and discussion about the team. This includes Articles, Signings, etc. Seems as though people don't wanna mix the game threads and the discussion together, and since it seems it's not possible for us to move into a brand new forum, I think this is the best solution for BSers as a whole.
