I hate the Giants more when I'm around this area and exposed to their fans and media. For years I lived away from here and almost found myself rooting for them at times, but it's real hard to do when you're here. Even if you try. If they win two games, all their idiot fans start howling about they're going the the Super Bowl, etc, and you just want somebody to beat them to shut them the hell up. And I'm really sick of Strahan. To call this guy an animal would be an insult to the animals--they at least take care of their young for a little while.
The Giants and Jets are not in the same conference, rarely play, and have very little history against each other so there's no reason for the fans of the two teams to hate each other. Maybe for bragging rights, but unlike the Mets-Yankees, neither side really has anything to be ticked at the other about. Well, maybe that the Giants signed McKenzie. I grew up a Giants fan but the Jets started to become my #1 team when Parcells entered the picture. I still root for the Giants, but if it was an all-NY Super Bowl, I would root for the Jets since they're the "second team" of New York.
"Hating" is always a waste of time and consumes far more of you than it's worth. It's negative energy. That is, you can accomplish more with less energy than it takes to hate the Giants, for example. God, I hate questions like this.
But you do dislike the Giants immensely, right? That doesn't take a lot of energy. C'mon 227. Jets Nation awaits..............not that we have a nation. We don't even have a stadium.
I can't stand Strahan either. I still remember when Warren Sapp said Strahan should have an asterisk by his name and Strahan said something like "he's not even the best DT football and he's talking about the best DE in football like that?" or something along those lines. I might have the quote wrong, but all I remember from that was thinking, "what an arrogant, egotistical sonofabitch this guy is". My opinion of him has just gone down as the years have gone by.
I do dislike the Giants, yes. I'm sick of their air of superiority, their pompous owners' attitudes and their propensity to kick the Jets around like yesterdays trash. I absolutely love it when we kick their ass, like we did several years back when we were actually the spoiler for their playoff hopes. I was in the stands and Giants fans were going, "Why are the Jets doing this to us? This game means absolutely nothing to them because they're out of it, and yet it means everything to us! Why don't they just let us win?" Well, it's because we hate you, @ssholes! Reason enough, bunkie?
Wildthing202200, It's the same with me so I really can't get myself to "Actively" root against them but then again...:wink: :wink: Actually, the one thing that I LOVE doing that really pisses Giant fans off to no end is to correctly break down their team and give a real and honest review of where their strengths and weaknesses are. They just can't stand the fact that a Jets fan knows their team just as well if not better than they do. :smile: Actually, there is a way to cheat on that scam also. Just pay close attention to the Jets/Giants preseason game and, knowing all our strengths and weaknesses, you can break down their entire team. Eg. If we make a big comeback late in the game, they have a lack of depth. etc. It's a wonderful thing to see the dumbfounded look that comes upon their faces when you can make a statement like "I'm really worried about your secondary because if they had problems keeping up with our slow wide receivers, what's gonna happen when T.O. comes to town?" :wink:
How about: (1) We're holier-than-thou... (2) We've been in the league longer than you... (3) We're the "old" NFC, you're the "new" AFC... (4) Our franchise was the only one in NY for years, way before yours... (5) We're "Big Blue," you're "Gang Green"... (6) We own the stadium you've played in and rented from us for 22 years... (7) We've won more SB's than you have... (8) You always seem to find a way to kick our asses though...
For me, I don't think I ever hated a team.... it has much more, in fact everything to do with interacting with fans of other teams who are complete bungwads. Get exposure to too many idiot, cocky fans from another team, and then I root against them. Even a friend who roots against the Jets can get me to turn on the team THEY root for. My Giant fan buds are for the most part, OK. But there is one or two.....
I really could care less. I hate every other team in the NFC East more, so I generally root for them. I do enjoy busting Giants fans balls when they lose, for fun. But other than that I really don't mind them.
i hate the giants so much. I hate them in every aspect. I hate shockey and his big mouth. I hate manning and his whining. I hate plaxico and his laziness. I hate straham and his gap toothed smile. I HATE the giants with a passion (not as much as the pats and dolphins but more than the bills) this is because, at my school, most ppl at my school are giants fans and most of them love to diss the jets. Even some of my teachers. so that kinda feuls a hate for the giants because of the jacka$$ fans.
I detest them but not as bad as the Dolphins. They are my most disliked team right behind the Dolphins.
No, I hope they do well as long as they're not playing the Jets. 36 36 Giants fans at a Jets message board? Jeez, get a hobby, fellas. Find something else to do.
