Kerley threw an up for grabs pass that worked out . The one time Tebow was allowed to throw the ball like that he hit the reciever in the face mask 40 yads downfield . Nothing has been proven or shown either way .
Here's my biggest issue with Teblow fans. There are many more great NFL trojans, buckeyes, and hurricanes than there are Gators. In history and today. Those teams also all dwarf the collegiate success UF has had. They have fans who are obsessed and passionate...... BUT THEY DON'T HAVE CULT LIKE FOLLOWINGS OF FORMER PLAYERS.....PARTICULARLY ones who aren't very good. It's a truly bizarre and unprecedented behavior.
Wow, way to torture the English language to try and make your point. "Not remotely reasonable" or "not remotely probable" does not equate to inconceivable or not possible.
Actually cupcake, it's condescension based on the knowledge that you aren't equipped to even be in the discussion really. There's no insecurity here, nor an inability to intelligently argue a point. I mean, I'm not the one having to go around and LIE like a farking rug to try and make a point. That's something that YOU apparently have to do.
I know you are not a Jets fan and probably watch what games you do with Tebow goggles on, but anyone can see the wildcat offense looked better and more explosive than at any point it has all season in the San Diego game. I'm not only talking about the "up for grabs" pass..
Kerley gave Gates a great shot to go up and get that ball. We saw Tebow try to hit a wide open Stephen Hill in preseason and badly underthrew it and then complained like it was Hill's fault.
You saw Tebow cross stepping towards the right sideline and throwing a ball back across his body. Like Tebow or not, that's a much more difficult throw than rolling to your throwing side and heaving the ball up. As noted previously, Tebow's one called deep pass this year was a perfect throw that bounced off his receiver's face mask.
Please list some of those "explosive" plays that were generated by the WC with Kerley. I'm remembering a whopping 5 yard run by Greene.
It did I'll admit it ......but then again Kerly was not bull rushing up the middle either. Everyone talks about Rex and the Jets destroying Tebow's career but the truth is first and foremost Tebow could have wrested the job from Sanchez in pre season and he didn't (he was better in total yardage but it was not enough to displace an incumbent 3 year starer) ......but that being said the other BIGGEST factor is Sparano's useless OC demeanor, from strange substitutions, to total confusion to bizarre play designs Sparano killed Sanchez, Tebow and the Jets this year. Sparano was a whirling tornado of incompetence as a first year (and only year I assure you) OC and set back Tebow to square one with the 30 bull rushes up the middle. Whomever hired Sparano is most to blame as that is why executive decisions are very important to the health of a corporation.
To be honest, I think that is more of a result of what they've seen in practice than anything else. If I were Tebow's advisor, I would be all over him to make a point to talk to the coaching staff about correcting his mechanics. It appears from the outside that that may be part of it - an unwillingness to be coached - as much as being a bad practice player. A good athlete should be able to learn proper techniques, so that's the only thing left...
I for one can't wait until 4:30 pm Sunday when this whole Jets-Tebow saga is over. The biggest mistake the Jets ever made with regard to Tebow is trading for him. I still don't know why they did it. The whole Tebow episode has been nothing but a mess for this franchise. Name me another back up player in the NFL that would get the attention that Tebow is getting just because he is NOT starting a completely meaningless game on Sunday??? The attention that this meaningless decision to start Sanchez over Tebow is getting from the national sports media is ridiculously and grossly disproportionate to the decision and the game on Sunday. Who cares if Tebow starts or not? What difference does it really make? It is clear the Jets do not consider Tebow to be a starting NFL QB. That is why he is not starting. I can't wait until he is far far away from here and this season if over. Thanks Woody and Tanny for screwing up the season with this absurd acquisition. I would rather see anybody else QB this team on Sunday but Tebow. And I mean anybody. And how does this ruin his career? That makes no sense. If Tebow was hurt, would his career be over? Does every team put so much stock in the Jets decision to not play him that nobody in the NFL will want him next season??? Of course not. This was a pure football and future decision for the Jets. Tebow is not in the Jets future plans while McElroy still is and Sanchez may be because of his salary. The Jets do not owe a start to a player who they have determined will not be on the roster next year and a one game audition is not going to impact his value to another team (if he has any). Why don't you people get it? At this point 31 teams (including the Jets) do not think Tebow is an NFL QB. The only team that does may be Jacksonville. Why should the Jets start a player at QB that they do not think is a starting QB? To appease ESPN? To appease Tebow's massive fan base? NO. It's over for Tebow as a Jet unless Sanchez is hurt. Time for all of you to get over it.
I would like to take this time to thank Tim Tebow. If it wasn't for the trade that brought him here, we Jet Fans would have never been rid of the circus that is the Tannenbaum/Ryan Regime. As it is right now, Woody Johnson, our esteemed owner, has no choice but to bring in someone well versed in building a NFL franchise to take over and perhaps resurrect a franchise that's been relegated to the darkest corner of irrevelancy. Thanks Tim. We didn't want you, but as it turns out we sure needed you. We needed to expose just how bad this franchise has been managed, how misguided a vision it had for success and how bad it performs on the field. Too bad your brand took a hit on this but in the dog eat dog of the world today, you did us a favor by taking the hit. Thank you Tim Tebow. May your next stop in professional football be more rewardig than the year you spent in the hell that is the New York Jets.
