I've been writing it on this message board for years now . . . The NFL has become a flag-fest. It's reached preposterous lengths. Recently, I was watching old Superbowls and playoff games on Youtube. The difference in the number of penalties is glaring. The refs NEED to be instructed to throw less flags.

 

I guess we won't have our threads cluttered with nonsense from Bill fags this week. That team can't lose enough for me.

 

It's a different game now, and it's not nearly as good

 

The league is more interested in protecting players and going to extreme degrees doing so which makes the games tough to watch. I have no issue with protecting players but some of this crap is overkill. At least it seems like they've eased up on the roughing the kicker crap, or teams just don't get near the kicker as much anymore. The PI, ticky tack holds, and even some of the roughing the passer stuff is just ridiculous.

 

Try living in Bills country up here and dealing with it....my Bill fan friends that used to rip on Rex for his undisciplined nature...all fell in love with him much like we all did...but we didn't have a sample size to base our opinions on..they have 6 yrs of his nonsense with the jets and they seemed to have forgotten it..

That's my biggest issue with all of the Rex Rah Rah bullshit coming from upstate. These are the same people who openly and unapologetically mocked him for years.

 

Have they started calling for Maronne to be re-hired yet?

 

There's some chirping going on....especially when Rex basically said he was ok with the penalties today because it meant the team had "fight" in it...haha

Crazy observation through week 4, although clearly true at the moment. Andy Dalton is a serious contender for MVP. The only two QBs having better seasons are Rodgers and Brady. Some people will be unfair and claim he must do it in the playoffs for it to be validated, which is certainly true to some extent - he does need a good playoff performance. But you can't downplay a monster 4 game stretch like he has just had. Props to the Bengals so far. AFC looks like a 3 team race.
