That quote would make some sense if the launching didnt happen right in the middle of the play ending. So what exactlyyyyy was Tommy looking at?
Good. Norman should be fined for his actions as well. I love that the Giants are making a big deal of why Norman was carrying a bat on the field. How about game how Reggie bush was in 09 for their playoff game on the saints?? No one made a big deal of it.
OBJ fell for the intimidation. Dude is a diva and cost his team. He's got all the talent in the world yet no brain cells. He deserves the suspension the guy had a temper tantrum on the field
Excellent post. Except for one thing -- Nobody else has a case for MVP -- It is Cam in a slam dunk and not even close.
Carson Palmer says Hello. You can make a strong, strong case for him. Last year they were 9-1 with him then fell apart. This year they are 12-2!
and like it or not, Brady has been carrying the team on his back. Different people in there every week. I am not trying to start a fire fight. I actually think Carson Palmer has every reason to get the nod for the award. Great stats, team record 12 wins, playing solid football. But this really is a year of the QB.
When you're by far the most important player on a 14-0 team you're getting the MVP. Especially considering Cam's numbers would be even better if Ted Ginn wasn't his #1 WR
Cam is middle of the pack as far as most conventional QB metrics go, but he's an unconventional QB on an undefeated team, deserving of the MVP talk, even if he is playing against statistically the weakest defenses in the NFL. I think Carolina's defense is more valuable to the team than Cam, but overall they are a good story and it's right to credit the QB.
It kind of has to, doesn't it? It's not like they can reverse the decision after he's missed the game.
I had though the appeal could be lodged but the hearing on the appeal could be pushed to the next week with a stay pending appeal. I think that happens with fines but maybe not suspensions? _
Last year has no factor on MVP this year. While Cam may have less passing yards then the big guns - you throw in his rushing yards and it evens out. Cam has 33 TD passes with by far worse offensive weapons than any of the other qbs. Throw in another 7 TD rushes. Anyone who does not realize the Panthers are not even a playoff team without Cam, let alone undefeated just hasn't been paying attention.
I agree Cam will win in a runaway, but I think the other players I mentioned do have a case (albeit not one that will lead to any first place votes).
This is why I think they could be in serious trouble if they face Seattle in the divisional round, their D has had some truly terrible performances and the Seahawks offense is on fire right now. If that matchup happens, I will be very curious to see the point spread because Seattle would be favored on a neutral field over Carolina (so would Arizona). Great season for the Panthers regardless, even if they get nipped by the Seahawks in divisional round.
I know last year has no factor on MVP, but we saw how BAD the Cards were without Palmer. It would be the same thing this year. I obviously think that Cam is going to win the MVP award -- He 100% should. Everyone, including myself, thought they were going to be abysmal on offense when Kelvin Benjamin went out. He is turning average WRs into studs. Corey Brown? Ted Ginn? I just don't think it is as cut and dry as everyone is making it out to be. There are several teams who if you remove their QB, they would be horrible.
