Yes, McDaniel is a great player that would go on the 1st day of the 2010 draft but that is not what he is looking to do.

As for Robert Johnson, I was talking about a safety you could get in the mid-round of the draft that offers superior value. Guys like Morgan Burnett, Reshad Jones, and Nate Allen are 1st day prospects and fringe 1st round prospects depending on what happens between now and the draft, I don't see how you can compare them to Robert Johnson. That would be like you bringing up a Fresno State player as a good value pick later in the draft but then I list every player that is better than him at his position.

    2. Jared Odrick will be a 1st day pick, I don't know where you're coming from saying that he'll be a 3rd-4th rounder. Like I said, I would rather get Heyward, Odrick, or Wootton for DE so we can spend our 1st on a different position. I'd rather go Cody-Heyward than Dunlap-Dan Williams. Dunlap is a good player but I think you make him out to more than he is. He takes plays off, he doesn't chase down from the backside, and while he is a good pass rusher he is not stout at the point of attack if he is getting run at.

    3. I think Phil Taylor will be just as good of a pro as Terrance Cody if they are put in the same situation with whichever team they land with. Taylor provides more in terms of a pass rush and they are very similar in their games against the run. Taylor will fall because of his previous off-the-field incidents and getting run out of Penn State, but he's just as talented as any DT in the nation except for maybe Ndamukong Suh. Had Taylor stayed at Penn State he'd be a definite 1st round pick. You forget that Cody also plays on a top defense that has other great players and a great coach. If Taylor were at Penn State playing next to Odrick with Lee and Bowman behind him, the Nitanny Lions' top defense would be even better. Taylor right now looks to be a 3-4th round pick, and I think he offers better value than taking Cody in the 1st.

Outside of two 2 games this season Carlos Dunlap has been invisible, Jermaine Cunningham is better than him.

Are their any Kendall Langford types out there this year in the middle rounds?

I had a hard on for him after watching him at the combine. He was so fluid and lanky, perfect for the 3-4.

Then he went to the Fins, and life got shitty for few hours.

Jared Odrick and Vince O, but they will both probably go higher than Langford did.

    1. LeSean McCoy said he was staying in school last season too. People change their minds. Like I said earlier, if he gets a first round grade, he'll leave early.

    2. I honestly didn't read any of that shit about Phil Taylor because your opinion is useless.

    3. Go away.

its a fun read if you go into last years draft threads and realize that Electric pretty much owns this dude through and through.

Also, find the locked thread with the mock draft and the millions of unrealistic trades. Thats a good laugh too.

I'm pretty sure someone still has the quote in their sig about Ziggy Hood not going in the 1st round. Just put a search in for Ziggy Hood and go hunting for the quote.

I'm still amazed that Electric called it and Hood went in the 1st. No one really thought he'd go before the top 40.

That's an interesting way of backing up your opinion. Saying go away and your opinion is useless is not a way of winning an argument, instead it shows that you're immature and can't have a civil discussion. You must be great in the conference room.

Barring an injury to Mays or Berry, McDaniel won't enter the draft. You have no evidence behind saying he will leave early if he gets a 1st round grade. Some players return to school despite receiving 1st round grades: Sam Bradford, Brian Brohm, Ndamukong Suh, James Laurinaitis, Ciron Black, Jermaine Gresham, Taylor Mays, Sean Weatherspoon, Brandon Spikes, Greg Hardy, I could go on for a long time.

Any other enlightened thoughts you'd like to force onto people?

(Reading through the closed mock draft thing)

Leigh Bodden is top 7 in man to man corners?

Wait...The_GM is a Falcons' fan? wtf?

Eric Smith for Ryan Torain and Cory Boyd?

    Please, keep going on...

All of the players in bold were either hurt or lost themselves a lot of money staying in school.

With the possibility of a rookie cap coming into the league in 2011, we'll more than likely see a shitload of underclassmen enter this year's draft hoping to strike it rich.

...and yes, I am immature, but I can have a civil discussion. You suck, so I don't respect this garbage you post in our draft forum. I don't have a problem with anybody but you.

EVERYONE I would like to "force" this enlightened thought on you: The_GM is a Falcons' fan, so why the fuck does he post on our board? A Jets' fan draft board that has close to no problems at all. Some people disagree and that's okay - we can move on. This guy comes to TGG out of no where and mouths off - get the hell off our site. That's my honest fucking opinion.

Shouldn't you be whacking it to your Lee Robinson fathead?

SUPERB point about a rookie cap - one of the reasons its going to be important to keep and possibly add a pick or 2 to your arsenal come next april.

this coming offseason (draft and FA) is going to be exciting. alot of factors at work which will allow a couple shrewd teams to really bloster their rosters and make a significant leap into contention.

I agree, hopefully we can also sign some FA's to solidify the ST because we have received no production from ST this year, they really have not hurt us, but they have made no difference in games this year.
