the game he led his O to 3 pts in? again, he has MANY more weapons, his D's have been good enough. I don't think Mark means winning that game but I would bet Dallas would have more than 1 playoff win if a QB like Mark was their QB.

It is true, Bal has had more talent across the board.

Cruz, Nicks, Randle are better than anything Mark has had. Nicks had a down year but was that b/c of him or b/c the QB was putrid? probably a combo but either better than anything Mark has ever had.

It's not about the best WR, it's about the best group. Obviously Fitz, Johnson, etc... are better than anything NYG has but as a group NYG is better than those teams and most other teams.

Den- yes
Hou- no
Cin- maybe
Pit- no
Dal- is Austin healthy? he never is
Chi- b/c of the top 2 probably.
GB- maybe their best WR missed most of this year so no.
NO- no way
Atl- if healthy yes, they weren't healty.
Ari- no way

Phi, TB, Min, Cle, Mia, Ten- not even in the discussion.

Ah yes - the old, if you don't agree with me you don't know anything about football approach. Nice move bud. Very reasonable.

Sanchez blows, can't wait till he's gone!

Geno was overall bad in 2013. But he has the benefit of upside. Whereas after four years we know what Sanchez is.

THREAD: "Sanchez sucks, just sucks (all sanchez complaints here)" 2.0

Every argument's been made, nothing's new under the sun and no one's moving anyone off their position at this stage.

Guess there's nothing left but to pull out the Mr. Electric-autographed "you don't know football" whine-and-cheese card whenever faced with an opposing POV.

joe is right though. It has all been said now. That is why I made that Geno Smith Starting QB thread yesterday. Felt it was time to move on from this discussion, as it is likely over until we see where Sanchez signs and how he does in his new location. Time to focus on Jets football.

I still think it's a good football move to try and make that location here, But I agree. I find myself getting frustrated by people who come in and don't contribute but would rather bicker. I have come to realize that the people who talk good football, outside of the occasional intelligent passer-bys that poke in and leave a post, have given up on being active in this conversation long ago.

It is what it is at this point and likely with the way Idzik handled the Revis situation ( close to the chest ) I wouldn't expect to hear anything other then speculation until late in March ( when he's due his bonus ).

It doesn't surprise me anymore how over Mark Sanchez this fan base is, it surprises me how much influence and sway that fan base thinks it has.

In the end it will be the $$ that determines Sanchez' next move. Not whether or not he'll get boo'ed, or whether NYJunc or TDK thinks he's garbage or the next Peyton Manning.

If he'll sync up his contract with his performance I would be shocked if Idzik shows him the door. If he wants to go to a team on the up, and have a chance to be a starter he'll have a hard time finding that team outside of the Jets IMHO.

I digress, All I know is that I'm more excited about this offseason then I have been since the '10 offseason. Good things are coming, Rex is staying, and Idzik is delivering him quality talent. If this draft goes well for us and we can figure out the QB situation while free'ing up some cap room; We could be really close to righting this ship..

It takes some teams 3-4 "rebuilding" years. Idzik, Rex & Co have a shot to get it done in 2.

Except cutting him would be a mistake considering he will make 15+ million from free agency.

I don't expect he'll get a big deal in FA.

If you say it enough it will be true? You do not know what you have in Sanchez you had great and bad moments with a good OC he may surprise.

I agree Geno has upside he has yet to show it. As the season went on he did not progress in his understanding of the offense. MM created some great game plans which is why I think Mark would thrive under his tutelage. Mark or no Mark Geno has a lot to improve upon and starting right away might have been the worse thing for his career as it was for Mark.

There is 0 chance of that happening. I dont think any team is that stupid to sign a QB of Sanchez's caliber for 5 mill per year. Especially if a team who is in not a great QB situation like the Jets are, let him go. That will be telling for other teams.
