As a football fan I'm always going to enjoy seeing Revis ply his trade. As a Jet fan...he's no longer a Jet. I don't really care what he does.
In that game they will force shit to be thrown against Eric Wright. There is no way they allow Mark to throw at Revis, unless Holmes calls for the ball and pants' Revis and then streaks by him. Otherwise I hope that they are not that dumb.
I want Revis to pick 6 Tannehill, Brady and Kolb/whoever Bills QB is.....and I want the Bucs to win those 3 games and those 3 games only and finish 3-13 so our 3rd or 4th round pick is high. Will this happen? Hell no. But I can dream. I want TB to stink next year for a better pick. Revis doing great would stop that so nah I won't root for him but after next year, he's okay with me.
I hope he finds success in Tampa. Week 1 though, the ball better not be thrown ANYWHERE near his direction.
Anybody who doesn't hate Revis at this point is not a true Jet fan, simple as that. He betrayed the jets for more money, and then had the audacity to call them out after the trade. He doesn't deserve our respect or admiration.
It's funny that this same question came out back in the day w/ Keyshawn. Yes, I will root for Darrelle to do well, just like I did w/ Key.
You wait till hes lined up on Hill, and make him defend the 9 route all day long... You dont have to throw it, but you do everything you can to tweak that hamstring.
^that. Well said sir. I thought we should have dumped his ass during the last hold out, but for him to go on TV, and claim the Jets gace up on him because of the injury, was disgusting.
I'll still root for Revis & hope he continues his dominant CB play and then walks into the HOF. However, I'd also like to see Jets win a SB before Revis. So I'm not pulling for the Bucs if they reach the playoffs.
While I agree, more or less with the factual content of this post people who try to tell a bunch of anonymous strangers what a "true fan" should or shouldn't feel make me lose my turgidity.
I'll cheer for him, and I hope that maybe sometime in the future he returns to the Jets as an older player in the same way Charles Woodson went from Oakland to GB or how Ty Law went from the Patriots to the Jets and Chiefs.
