I got so pissed at the amount of ink the Giants got compared to the Jets that I wrote a rant to the publisher and the editor of the Times. Probably won't do much, but if felt good to do it.
I think the Giants has a lot of talent but they aren't playing well as a team. The Jets are 7 - 5 in the AFC. The Giants are 6 - 6 in the NFC. The Jets is the best team in New York.
I understand the need for everyone to see the Jets on the back pages after a monster victory at historic Lambeau field. But you know what. I'll read the reports inside the paper as well. It will happen folks. 7-5 is pretty damn good. I am ecstatic. :jets:
NO and we never will be even if we win the SB. This is how it will always be Yanks - Giants - Rangers Mets - Jets - Islanders We will always be second tier even if we are the better team
If the Jets win a SB, and maintain a championship-caliber level of play while the Giants are entrenched in mediocrity, then the Jets will be the main football team. You act as if none of those "second-tier" teams were never the "first-tier". Mets were bigger than the Yankees in the late 80's.
That was exactly my point Kurt, I'm a Jets/Yanks/ Rangers/ Knicks fan and I think the NYC "competition" is just stupid.

The Giants deserve more ink. They lose games in devastating fashion. They have constant fights behind the scenes. Their coach is inept. Their star player is retiring. Their star WR is lazy and dumb. Their star defensive player accosted a reporter. Their TE makes idiotic comments and has a tattoo that gets bigger every week. None of these things make them a good football team but they make for good press. Meanwhile, the Jets are more likely to make the playoffs. I'll take that over press.
That was a tremendous game by Romo at the end there. Dallas is playing like the best team in the NFC right now. They and Carolina are the only teams from the NFC playoff squads that have an interconference record above .500 versus AFC teams. You could probably make a case that Dallas is the best team in the NFL at this very moment. Super rough loss for the Giants. Im not sure where they go from here. NFC is so bad they should still limp into a playoff spot, but Coughlin is probably going to be out of a job. That 4th and 1 decision early in the game is going to come back to haunt him tonight and tomorrow. Awful decision to try it and an even more awful playcall to boot running Jacobs wide rather than right up the gut or calling a QB sneak.
